I love that we Belizeans are all mixed in our ethnicities and cultural traditions. I grew up in classrooms and neighborhoods that had a mixture of languages and cuisines. These differences were not something that separated us; instead, they blended us into the melting pot of cultures we are known for.
I love that Belize moves at a slower pace, therefore we Belizeans are able to enjoy the simplicities of life – enjoying a sunset, practicing a healthier lifestyle by eating from farm to table, staying in tune with nature. I also enjoy the fact that in the morning I can be in the jungle exploring and in the afternoon, I can be at a beach destination with a coconut in my hand, enjoying the Caribbean island vibes.
