Wildlife and beyond: the best reasons to visit Uganda
22 January 2024
Comparatively small, on the scale of Africa, Uganda has more than its fair share of the biggest and the best. Here you’ll find the source of the Nile, the continent’s biggest lake and tallest mountain range, and many of the giants of the animal kingdom. This is the most biodiverse country in Africa, with vast tracts of rainforest, marshland, plains and snow-capped mountains. There are over twenty nature reserves to explore and opportunities for wildlife-spotting abound, from hippos wallowing in the waters of the Kazinga Channel, to gorillas in the misty highland forests.
We’re here in Uganda ready to plan your trip with you, just the way you like it.
Our local experts in Uganda are ready to help plan your perfect itinerary. Tailor-made, made easy.
Plan your trip"Had a great time, really well organised and good accommodation all round. Our driver was fantastic, went out of his way to make the trip special and help us see as much as possible. Would highly recommend seeing the mountain gorillas if you can in your life."

"We have used TravelLocal's service three times and all three trips, though very different, have been excellent. Have just booked another trip through them for next month!"
