Day 1: Welcome to Hanoi!

Welcome to Vietnam's Hanoi, known for its peaceful lakes, French-style buildings, character-packed streets, tree-lined boulevards, and brightly painted temples and pagodas. 

Upon your arrival at Noi Bai International Airport, your tour guide will greet and bring you to your lovely hotel located downtown. The rest of the day will be all yours to either relax after your long flight, or get acquainted with the Old Quarter of Hanoi with its streets full of traditional vendors and artisans.

Day 2: Experience the flavours of Hanoi

For half the day, explore the amazing tastes and sights of historic Hanoi. Start the tour on foot, exploring hidden corners in the Old Quarter, and learning about the traditions of Vietnamese food culture as you're introduced to authentic dishes like banh cuon, bun cha and more!

Watch in awe as skilled chefs demonstrate how these tasty dishes are put together, then for dessert, venture down a small alley to join in the local tradition of feasting on fresh fruit smothered with crushed iced and condensed milk in a cup – this speciality is not to be missed!

Your guide will then take you to one of Hanoi’s best-kept secrets, a hidden café with picturesque views of Hoan Kiem Lake, followed by dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3: Heavenly exploration of Mai Chau by bike

After breakfast, a private car will pick you up at your hotel and transfer you to the Mai Chau Valley. Soak up views of fields of tapioca, rice paddies, and sugarcane plantations en route.

Upon your arrival in the Mai Chau Valley, begin your biking tour through many villages and into the heart of the countryside - there's no better way to get to know the local hill tribe people and their culture. Sample local delicacies at dinnertime and enjoy a performance by a local troupe of ethnic minority Muong and Thai people. 

Spend the night at an eco-lodge in a secluded setting in Mai Chau, with a stunning backdrop of rice paddies and emerald mountains embraced by clouds.

Day 4: Trek to visit local villages

Start your morning by stepping outside and taking in beautiful views of paddy fields and mountains. After breakfast, visit the village of Mai Ha followed by sightseeing around Kha Lake, at the heart of Mai Chau.

Next you'll begin a hike to explore small villages inhabited by Thai people, hidden away in lush bamboo forests in the mountains. Enoy views of cassava and corn fields, and take a moment to admire their traditional, charming houses on stilts.

Continue to the small Te village, where you'll drop by a Thai family's home to learn more about the culture of Thai minority people. Return to your eco-lodge for lunch, before being picked up by a private car and transferred to Hanoi for an afternoon of relaxation.

Day 5: Overnight cruising on Ha Long Bay

Start the day with a four-hour scenic drive to Ha Long Bay, where upon arrival, you will enjoy a welcome drink and board your ship for an overnight cruise.

On board, tuck into a fresh seafood lunch and set sail across the bright waters of Ha Long Bay. You'll witness the breathtaking scenery and visit a number of landmarks, including Sung Sot Cave, the islands of Tuan Chau, Dinh Huong, Ga Choi and Stone Dog, and Ti Top Beach for a swim. Kayaking is available to enjoy before sunset, so be sure to get your fill! You could even sign up to join a cooking class and learn more about local cuisine.

Later, dine on board as you admire the sunset. Then, as the day comes to a close, enjoy an unforgettable night in your luxury private cabin, watching the stars light up in the sky as you soak up some fresh air.

Day 6: Journey to Hoi An

Wake up early to catch an epic sunrise across the bay, and perhaps even join a Tai Chi class on the sundeck, before kicking back with a fresh coffee. A hearty buffet breakfast and brunch will be served as you cruise back to port. En route, the boat will weave its way through uniquely-shaped limestone rock formations, which make up the bay's iconic landscape.

Once you've arrived back on dry land, your guide will take you to Noi Bai International Airport to board an afternoon flight to Da Nang. There you will be taken to your cottage in the village of An Bang, located near Hoi An and home to wellness havens alongside one of Vietnam's loveliest beaches.

Day 7: At leisure on the beach

After breakfast, today will be spent at leisure, soaking up the sun, sea and sand in An Bang! Enjoy the water sport activities available to you here, or simply relax and snooze.

Day 8: The wonders of the Mekong Delta

After breakfast, start the day with a flight to Ho Chi Minh City, followed by a transfer to Can Tho. There, you'll check into a welcoming eco-lodge and enjoy some time to explore a typical village of the Mekong Delta - soaking up the local culture, traditions and way of life as you go.

Day 9: Visit a buzzing floating market

After a delicious breakfast at your hotel, cruise along Can Tho's small and picturesque tributaries by motorboat to visit the Cai Rang Floating Market - a bustling place offering a fascinating glimpse into day-to-day life.

Next you'll stop in another village to visit a rice husking mill and enjoy an immersive stroll, observing the beautiful scenery and daily activities of the locals around you.

Drive to Ho Chi Minh City in the late afternoon, to check into your hotel and relax for the evening. It's your final night in Vietnam, so set out and enjoy all that this vibrant city has to offer!

Day 10: Farewell, Vietnam

After breakfast, today you will check out of the hotel and transfer to the airport to board your flight home or continue your onward travels. See you next time!
