Day 2: At leisure in your luxury villa
Spend today at leisure in your villa, as you continue to rest and get over your jet lag. You could cool off by the pool for a while and experience the culinary adventures offered by the villa. Alternatively, those looking to get out and about could venture to Weligama Bay - a cool surfing spot with many beach restaurants run by local fishermen - to enjoy some ice-cold beers alongside fresh seafood.

Day 3: Whale-watching & surfing adventures
Wake up early and take a private transfer to Mirissa, just 20 minutes away from your villa, for a wonderful whale-watching excursion. By 6.30am, board a shared boat from the harbor and venture out into the Indian Ocean in search of magnificent blue whales. On-board breakfast will be provided as you enjoy the experience, out at sea for three to five hours in total. A private whale-watching trip could be arranged for an additional charge, if you want a special treat.
An hour's drive from Mirissa is the Bay of Hiriketiya, a popular surf spot lined with beach restaurants. Surf the waves to your heart's content, a particularly special activity to enjoy during sunset, before returning to your villa for the night.

Day 4: Spend another day at leisure
Savor good food, ice-cold drinks, and the fabulous pool as you relax in your villa - the whole day is yours to enjoy at leisure! If you're feeling adventurous, grab a bicycle and explore the local area. Or else, why not enjoy some more surfing on Weligama Bay? Great waves and even better seafood await there.

Weligama - Udawalawe National Park
Day 5: Into the heart of Udawalawe
Today you'll take a three-hour transfer from Weligama to Udawalawe National Park, for an overnight stay filled with wildlife discoveries and adventures.
On an extended safari of about five hours, you'll venture deep into the jungle. You'll primarily focus on spotting elephants and birds - the parkland attracts birds of prey such as various types of eagles, alongside land birds such as Indian rollers and pied cuckoos. If you're lucky, you may also come across one or two leopards. There have been an increased number of leopard sightings recently, although these are still rare due to the big cat's impressive camouflaging ability.
After a day of wildlife immersion, you'll then head to your campsite on the park grounds, to bed down for the night.

Day 6: Return to Weligama
Today, you will be transferred from Udawalawe back to the coastal hub of Weligama and your luxury villa. Following a two-hour journey, you'll have time to relax, put your feet up, and enjoy your serene surroundings at leisure.

Day 7: Step back in time across tea estates & historic forts
After a hearty breakfast at the villa, a friendly local villager will take you on a cycling excursion to the Handunugoda Tea Estate, for a guided tour and tasting experience. Learn about the entire process that spans plucking, grading, withering, rolling, tasting, and packing.
After a fresh cup of Ceylon tea, peddle down the countryside roads to explore rural villages, rice fields, cinnamon plantations, and local boutiques. You can expect to cycle approximately 20km on mostly flat terrain; if you start to feel tired, you could always hop into the back-up vehicle which will follow you all the way.
After relaxing poolside for a while at your villa, you'll then head into the historic city of Galle, 30 minutes' drive away. Visit the fish and vegetable markets, and tour Galle Fort to witness the historical remnants of Portuguese and Dutch colonies in Sri Lanka.
