Detailed Itinerary

Madrid
Day 1: Welcome to the Spanish capital
Welcome to Madrid, the glorious capital of Spain! Journey from Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport to your hotel in the city center, via a private transfer. The journey is expected to take about 30 minutes, after which you'll check in and spend the rest of the day relaxing at leisure.

Madrid
Day 2: A fun day of art & mythology
Today, your driver will be waiting at the hotel lobby to transfer your family to the Prado Museum, to embark on a private guided scavenger hunt!
Meet an expert in art and child-friendly experiences, who will take you on this incredible interactive tour lasting no more than three hours. Your children will learn about artistic techniques and mythological creatures that were popular from the Renaissance through to the 19th century. Discover monsters and heroes, and explore themes such as family units, patronage, the history of taste and fashion, the representation of girls and women, and the (very!) important role of animals in paintings.
After the tour, your driver will transfer you back to the hotel, with free time to explore the city afterwards.

Madrid
Day 3: Enjoy sightseeing, foodie stops & flamenco!
Today, explore Madrid’s center on a private walking tour designed for kids aged 4 to 12, with activities and conversation topics for each age group. Pass by the Royal Palace, Plaza de la Villa, San Miguel Market, Plaza Mayor, and Puerta del Sol. Along the way you'll be told stories of explorers, kings and queens, princes and princesses, knights, artists, and more.
The tour includes a tasting of Iberian ham and cured meats at a family-run shop, a chance to make bocadillos, and a trip to the Chocolatería San Ginés, famous for its piping-hot churros and chocolate.
Later, a guide will pick you up for an evening of flamenco and tapas! Learn about the origins of flamenco and why Madrid is considered the capital of this special dance. Then, after a one-hour show, you’ll head to a nearby restaurant for a hot-off-the-grill tapas feast.

Madrid - Toledo - Madrid
Day 4: A day trip to Toledo
This morning, your driver will pick you up for a private transfer to Toledo, where a guide will be waiting to take you around this UNESCO World Heritage-listed city, showing you how Moorish, Christian and Jewish cultures have blended together here over the years.
As part of the tour, you'll visit a workshop where artisans are busy at work, creating authentic damascene jewelry, swords, knives and more - an art form passed down from generation to generation, showcasing beautifully-preserved traditional designs.
After lunch, transfer back to Madrid to spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Madrid - Barcelona
Day 5: Journey to Barcelona
Your driver will pick you up at the hotel and transfer you to the train station, in time for your high-speed train journey to Barcelona - an estimated trip of up to three hours. Once in Barcelona, take a 20-minute transfer to your hotel, where you'll have some time to rest.
In the afternoon, set out on a private guided scavenger hunt tour of the Gothic Quarter. Start with a bird's-eye view over the city from the rooftop of a 12th-century church, then enjoy a fun exploration of the neighborhood's labyrinthine streets. Along the way, you'll even get to stop at a local chocolate-maker for a blindfolded tasting filled with excitement! The winner of the scavenger hunt will celebrate with an edible prize of freshly-made churros and chocolate, to be savored in a special historic setting.

Barcelona
Day 6: An adventure amidst Gaudi's icons
This morning, enjoy an unforgettable family adventure: a tour focusing on Antoni Gaudí and his creations, which make up some of the city's most famous attractions: the Basílica de la Sagrada Família, Park Güell, and more landmarks down Passeig de Gràcia.
The tour is expected to last around four hours, after which you'll have time at leisure to explore more of Barcelona as a family. Why not ride the cable car up to Montjuic hill or wander the idyllic Parc de la Ciutadella, where you could rent a row boat for a ride around the lake.

Day 7: Take a day trip to the Costa Brava!
On your last full day in Spain, embark together on a fantastic day trip to the Costa Brava! You'll be picked up for a transfer in the morning, headed for the sunny town of Llafranc. There, you'll enjoy a private guided kayaking experience along the rocky and jagged coastline, dotted with caves and coves. You'll have snorkeling equipment at your disposal for an underwater adventure, too. Take a stroll (and, if you wish, sit down for lunch) in the town of Calella de Palafrugell, before making your return to Barcelona.
Along the journey back, you'll stop in the town of Begur: positioned at the heart of the Empordà district, this is one of the most wonderful spots on the Costa Brava, rich in history and lined with beautiful beaches.

Barcelona
Day 8: Goodbye, Spain!
Today, at the appointed time, your driver will pick your family up and transfer you to the airport, where you'll board your flight back home. Have a safe trip - buen viaje!
