After checking into your riad, the rest of the evening is yours to explore or unwind at your leisure.

Day 2: A guided tour of Marrakech

After breakfast, begin your exploration of Marrakech. With your expert local guide, visit key historical and cultural landmarks, including the Koutoubia Tower, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, and the bustling Jemaa el-Fna square. After lunch at a nearby restaurant, stroll through the vibrant souks, discovering traditional Moroccan handicrafts.

In the afternoon, enjoy free time to explore the city at your own pace or opt for a visit to the tranquil Majorelle Gardens. Be sure to check out Souk el Attarin, Souk Chouari, and Souk Smata for spices, woodwork, and traditional Moroccan slippers. If time allows, visit the beautiful Ben Youssef Madrasa, a masterpiece of Moroccan-Islamic architecture with its intricately carved cedar ceilings, sculpted plaster, and zellij tilework.

Day 3: A free day in Marrakech

Enjoy a free day in Marrakech to dive into the city's vibrant culture. Wander the Medina's winding streets, explore the lively souks for spices, textiles, and pottery, and savor local dishes like tagine and couscous at traditional restaurants such as Le Tobsil or Al Fassia.

Visit Jemaa el-Fnaa Square to experience street performers and food stalls, then enjoy dinner with a view at places like Le Foundouk or Nomad. The medina's evening lights create a unique atmosphere, perfect for further exploration and souvenir shopping.

Day 4: Venture into the Atlas Mountains

Your day trip to the Atlas Mountains begins with an early pickup from your hotel. Enjoy a scenic drive from Marrakech to Ourika Valley, taking in views of olive groves and terraced fields. Stop at scenic viewpoints for panoramic vistas of the valley and mountains.

Explore the valley with hiking options suitable for all levels, visit local Berber villages, and discover traditional crafts at a local cooperative. Hike to the Setti Fatma waterfalls, a highlight of the valley. After a traditional lunch at a local restaurant before returning to Marrakech.

Marrakech - Ait Ben Hadou - Dades

Day 5: Explore Ait Ben Hadou & Ouarzazate

You’ll be picked up from your accommodation and embark on a scenic drive through the Tizi-N-Tichka pass in the Atlas Mountains—perfect for photo opportunities of the stunning landscapes.

Your first stop will be a Berber village for a delicious breakfast and a moment of relaxation. Continue ascending to the highest point of the Atlas before arriving at Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where a local guide will provide insights into its rich history.

After some free time for lunch, explore Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Morocco, with a visit to the Cinema Studio and Museum. Finally, journey through the Rose Valley, Skoura Palm Grove, and Dades Valley before spending the night in a charming Moroccan hotel nestled in the heart of the gorges.

Dades - Todgha - Merzouga

Day 6: Journey to the desert for a night under the stars

After a traditional Moroccan breakfast, depart from your hotel in the Dades Gorges and drive along the scenic 1000 Kasbahs route, passing through colorful Berber villages. Continue 45 km to Tineghir, known for its palm groves and Jewish quarter.

Arrive at the Todra Gorges for a trek through its impressive 300-meter-high canyons, a popular spot for climbers. Next, head towards the Erg Chebbi sand dunes in the Merzouga Sahara desert. Enjoy a lunch break on the way to Erfoud.

Upon reaching the dunes, embark on a sunset ride to your desert camp, where you'll spend the night in traditional nomadic tents or under the stars. Experience the desert ambiance with drum music from the camel drivers, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at the camp.

Merzouga - Ouarzazate

Day 7: Sand dunes & venture to Ouarzazate

Rise early for an unforgettable sunrise over the Erg Chebbi sand dunes in the Sahara Desert. After witnessing this breathtaking spectacle, return to camp for breakfast.

Then, enjoy a serene camel trek back to the village of Merzouga, taking in the changing hues of the dunes as the day progresses. Upon reaching Merzouga, meet your driver for a scenic journey to Ouarzazate, passing through Nkoub Oasis and Draa Valley. Nkoub, renowned for its over forty ancient kasbahs, offers a glimpse into traditional Moroccan architecture. Continue to the Draa Valley, the world's largest palm grove, a verdant stretch of 200 kilometers, showcasing the lush beauty of this region.

Ouarzazate - Marrakech

Day 8: History & palaces in Ouarzazate

In Ouarzazate, explore the Cinema Museum, visit the renowned Cinema Studios, and tour the historic Kasbah of Taourirte. Continue your journey to the Kasbah of Telouet, also known as the Glaoui Palace, which once served as a key stop on the caravan route from the Sahara across the Atlas Mountains to Marrakech. This former seat of the powerful El Glaoui family, often referred to as the Palace of Glaoui, offers a glimpse into Morocco's rich history. 

After this, head back to Marrakech for your final night in Morocco.

Day 9: Goodbye, Morocco

It's time to say goodbye to Morocco, your adventure has come to an end! Transfer to the airport and have a safe flight home.
