Day 2: North Male Atoll

Explore Hulhumale
Excursion: Since you have some free time before transferring by local ferry to the island of Dhiffuhsi, we invite you to explore Hulhumale city at your own pace and have a little taste of Maldivian life to start the journey. Hulhumale is a perfect mix of city life and island life, so you will get to experience the best of both.

Shared Boat Transfer: The journey to Dhiffushi is approximately 3 hrs with three stops on the way. You can chat with locals while you are seated inside or view the beautiful scenery of islands & resorts passing by if you choose to sit by a window. Dhiffushi is the most eastern inhabited island in the Maldives and therefore it witnesses sunrise first in the country each morning. There are about six sandbanks in very close proximity to the island along with snorkeling and diving sites. The island's house reef is approximately 10 km long housing colorful corals, many varieties of fish, and Maldivian flora and fauna with coconut palms along the shoreline.

Shared Excursion: This morning head out for 2 hours of snorkeling. Visit a reef that offers the strong possibility of several turtle sightings. The reef is shallow but dense with corals which provide turtles with an abundant food source.

Excursion: As the afternoon cools down we invite you to explore Dhiffushi with the opportunity to learn about the local way of life. Explore the mosque, island harbor, how they built their own boats and chat with locals on your way to learn about their lifestyle.

Day 4: North Male Atoll

Excursion: There are many activities available for you to experience while you’re relaxing and enjoying your holiday, including diving. Feel free to inquire from the local guest house for any information or to arrange your preferred experience. Also, there are three Bikini Beaches at Dhiffushi Island. Newest one in the eastern beachfront, in addition to the North & South Bikini Beaches on the island. Travelers can expect to enjoy sun lounges, white beach umbrellas, and overwater hammocks in these areas.

Shared Excursion: For your final evening on Dhiffushi island you will be heading out to see the beautiful sunset on a boat safari in search of dolphins. You will be back on the island in time for dinner, to enjoy a BBQ under the stars.

Excursion: Enjoy free time to explore Thulusdhoo Island which has a cool, surf vibe, or just relax on the tourist bikini beach or one of the many day beds and hammocks scattered along the water’s edge. In the late afternoon as the day cools, take a walking tour of the island finishing with the chance to sample traditional Maldivian evening tea known as ‘hedikaa’ or ‘short eats’ - small savory and sweet bites accompanied with black tea.

Excursion: This morning we suggest you set out to enjoy an uninhabited island picnic tour available for an extra cost from your local guest house. You get to enjoy your private getaway to white-sand beaches and snorkel around the lagoon - paradise!


Dinner with Local Family
Excursion: In the evening, you have the opportunity to visit the home of a local family and enjoy the tastes of a traditional local meal, experiencing the culinary side of these beautiful islands. Don’t expect anything fancy, it will be authentic Maldivian food but we are sure you'll enjoy it. The locals are very friendly and you’ll have time to talk to them. Also do not hesitate to ask questions, they are very hospitable and keen to explain.

Day 7: North Male Atoll - Malé Atoll

Male City Tour
Excursion: Our guided Male City Tour covers tourist attractions including the well-known Hukuru Miskiiy which is regarded as the oldest mosque on the Island. A place of worship established in 1656, it boasts intricate wood carvings and solid coral structures which will leave visitors awe-struck. Dominating the skyline of the city is the Grand Friday Mosque and Islamic Centre, the largest mosque located in the city and attended by many locals daily, a must visit. After exploring the majestic places of worship, head to the National Museum and the National Art Gallery which showcase artefacts and paintings one must see if interested in understanding the roots of the Maldivian local culture. After covering main sightseeing in Male City, next will be the local Fish Market and the Vegetable Market as well as the souvenir shops to take back home some mementos. And if you need a quick refreshing drink or a bite to eat, head to one of the cafes in the nearby streets. Travelers need not worry about carrying local currency as most vendors accept US Dollars and Euros. Estimate time duration: 3-4 Hours

Presently there is a wide range of dishes encompassing everything from burgers and grills to Asian favorites. Seagull Café is situated in the heart of Malé City and presents an exquisite open-air ambiance. It is one of the oldest restaurants which is dearly loved by locals.
