Kuala Lumpur Airport - Kuala Lumpur
Day 1: Welcome to Kuala Lumpur
Your private driver will pick you up at Kuala Lumpur airport and will take you to your hotel in Melaka, where you can relax from your flight.
If you are ready to start your adventure immediately, you can explore stroll the vicinity of your hotel.

Day 2: The Capital of Sarawak
Depending on your flight schedule, you will be picked up by your private driver and taken to Kuala Lumpur Airport for your domestic flight to Kuching.
There, your private driver will pick you up at the airport and take you to the Waterfront Hotel.

Day 3: Explore Malaysian Wildlife
The Bako National Park is located on a coastal peninsula. The starting point for excursions to the park is the village of Bako, a 35-minute drive from Kuching. From the village, a boat will take you on a 25-minutes ride to the park headquarters. On-route, you can spot crocodiles, sea eagles, and different waders.
From the park's headquarters, you can explore different trails and look out for wildlife.

Day 4: Meet the Iban People
This morning, your private driver will pick you up at 8 am from your hotel and drive you to the Batang Ai reservoir. Along the way, you will stop at the Lachau Bazaar and stroll through shops and the small native market.
After an early lunch in a local coffee shop, your journey to the Batang Ai Lake will continue.
Board a longboat and travel upriver to Nanga Sumpa, settle into your lodge, and enjoy your dinner.
After dinner, you will visit the Nanga Sumpa longhouse where you can relax on the Ruai, the common verandah, spend time with the Iban and enjoy some local rice wine.

Day 5: Splash into the Waterfall Pool
After breakfast, you will start your jungle hike along the river. A longboat will take you upriver to the scenic Enseluai waterfall. Upon arrival at the waterfall, you have time to relax, swim and enjoy the rainforest surroundings.
A riverside BBQ lunch is prepared for you by your Iban hosts.
Return to the lodge and enjoy your dinner before another visit to the Nanga Sumpa longhouse.

Day 6: The Scenic Drive Back to Kuching
Enjoy your breakfast in the lodge. At 9 am you will travel downriver to the Batang Ai Lake jetty where you’ll arrive between 10:30 and 11:00 am. The journey continues to Kuching, with a lunch break on the way. You will be dropped off at your hotel at around 4:30 pm.

Day 7: Eye in Eye with Orangutans
At 8:15 am, make your way with your private driver to the Semenggoh Wildlife Center 24 kilometers from the center of Kuching. This orangutan rehabilitation center is training orphaned or rescued orangutans on how to survive in the wild.
Over 20 orangutans live in the forest within the nature reserve and often return to the center at feeding times.
Upon arrival, head to the briefing area. After brief information by the rangers, take a short walk along a trail to the feeding area to watch how the orangutans come down from the trees for a free meal.
Return to your hotel at 11 am, check out and head to the airport for your departure to Kota Kinabalu.
Upon arrival at Kota Kinabalu Airport, you will meet your driver, who will take you to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 8: Endemic Plants
Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your city hotel for a 2-hour (88 km) drive through breathtaking scenery to Kinabalu Park.
During a guided nature walk with an experienced park naturalist, you will explore the park’s botanical garden, which showcases some extraordinary plant species that are found within the park.
After lunch at a local restaurant, you’ll visit the gallery with more information on the park’s huge botanic diversity before returning to Kota Kinabalu.

Day 9: Birds and Mammals in the jungle
You have to get up early this morning. At 6:30 am, your boat trip for bird and wildlife viewing starts near Pitas Lake. Keep your eyes open and take your camera with you! Back at the lodge, a delicious breakfast is waiting for you.
Later, you will visit the nearby Abai village and enjoy a local-style lunch prepared and served by the villagers.
Alternatively, you can return to the lodge for lunch, where you can relax or explore the boardwalk and look out for wildlife.
In the afternoon, take another boat ride along the Kinabatangan River in search of wildlife. Dinner is served at the lodge and the evening is at your leisure.

Day 10: Lake and Riverscapes
Early in the morning, you will take a boat trip for bird watching and wildlife viewing at the nearby Ox Bow Lake. Trek the lush riverine forest along the lake and then return to the lodge for breakfast.
In the afternoon, venture on another river cruise down the Menanggul River and along the Kinabatangan River to discover more of the area’s bird population and wildlife.
Return to the lodge at dusk and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 11: Mud Volcano in the Jungle
After an early breakfast, you’ll drive to the Tabin Wildlife Reserve where you will check into the charming timber bungalow with a hot shower and a private balcony.
Even within the rainforest resort you can spot a variety of birds, insects, and small mammals and discover the rich variety of jungle herbs used by generations of local folks for the treatment of various ailments.
In the afternoon, you’ll visit the Lipad mud volcano, a mineral salt lick for wildlife. After a 20-minutes jungle trek, you’ll arrive at the elevated bare mud volcano area, covered by a multitude of animal footprints.
From the observation tower, you can admire the contrasting landscape of the bare volcano area and the surrounding thick forest.
After dinner and a slide presentation on Tabin’s uniqueness, you’ll go on a night safari to discover nocturnal wildlife and birds.

Day 12: Refresh Yourself at the Waterfall
Your day starts with a bird walk to discover some of Tabin’s almost 300 different bird species.
After breakfast, embark on a trek through the lush green rainforest known for its rich diversity of plants and animals on route to the Lipad Waterfall. Take a dip in the natural pool and enjoy a refreshing shower under the waterfall. Spend time to relax or explore the surrounding vegetation.
In the afternoon, you may wish to try out the Tabin Rainforest Foot Soak made of a natural blend of herbs, to relax your tired muscles after the jungle treks.
In the evening, you can go on a dusk drive to look for nocturnal wildlife.

Day 13: Last Jungle Discoveries
After breakfast, stroll to the nearby rock pool or riverside where groups of macaques and other small mammals can be observed. Choose to take a dip in the river or simply listen to the sounds of nature before saying goodbye to Tabin.
Depart on the scheduled transfer at 1.30 pm to Lahad Datu airport where you take your domestic flight to Kuala Lumpur.
Upon arrival at the airport, your driver will welcome you and take you to your hotel where you can relax.

Day 14: Time to Say Good-Bye to Malaysia
Depending on your flight schedule, your private driver will take you to Kuala Lumpur International Airport for your flight home or to your next destination.
