Nairobi

Day 1: Jambo!

Welcome to Kenya, or "Jambo!", as the locals say. Your guide welcomes you at the airport and you are then transferred to your hotel. Take the remainder of the day to relax and get acquainted with this exotic country.

Aberdare

Day 2: Watch Wildlife from Noah's Ark

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel, then it's time to leave the city and let the adventure begin! Your first destination is Aberdare National Park. Here you stay at The Ark, a unique lodge that is modelled after Noah's ark and overlooks a waterhole and salt lick that attract an impressive array of wildlife.

Lunch is served upon arrival at the lodge, then the afternoon is yours. Watch animals directly from your balcony or while enjoying a drink at the lounge. There is also a ground level bunker that gets you even closer to the wildlife and provides excellent photo opportunities. In the evening, watch the sun go down over the land as the animals flock to the waterhole. Later, fall asleep with the sounds of nature around you.

Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Day 3: See Rhinos and Chimpanzees

Have breakfast at The Ark, then head out towards Ol Pejeta. After check-in and lunch at your luxurious camp, depart on a game drive in the privately owned Sanctuary. This 24,000-acre area is home to rhinos and the only protected chimpanzee population in Kenya. Along the Uaso Nyiro river in the sanctuary also roam giraffes, zebras, gazelles, elephants, hippos, and many more. After the drive, return to your camp, where dinner is served and you can relax from the day.

Lake Nakuru

Day 4: Travel to Lake Nakuru, a Flamingo Paradise

After a strengthening breakfast at the camp, board your safari vehicle and travel to Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is located in the heart of the Great Rift Valley and engulfs the lake, which is a superb location for spotting flamingos and other wildlife. Nakuru lake is home to all members of the Big 5, but rhinos are the most common kind found here. On your game drive, you will have a good chance to spot and photograph several of these magnificent animals.

Masai Mara Game Reserve

Day 5: Experience the Masai Mara

Prepare yourself for the day with a delicious breakfast, then leave the camp and drive to Masai Mara. The Masai Mara is maybe the ultimate African safari experience, with its wide open plains towered over by dramatic skies and an abundance of wildlife that is comparable to nothing else. Enjoy game watching en route to your camp and take the opportunity to take pictures of the animals you encounter.

At camp, it's time for lunch and to relax. Later in the afternoon, get back aboard your safari vehicle for another game drive at dusk. Drive through the savannah as the sun goes down and watch the animals that haven't been around in the heat of the day come out of hiding in the fading light.

Masai Mara Game Reserve

Day 6: See the Savannah from Above

Spend the day exploring the Mara. A full-day game drive will allow you to see the immense variety of wildlife that this place has to offer. As an alternative, you can take an optional balloon ride over the Mara at sunrise, an unforgettable experience.

If you have pre-booked this activity, you are picked up by your guide before sunrise and taken to the launch site. Then you will silently glide through the dawn, sometimes at tree height, sometimes much higher for a better overview of the early-morning movement of the gigantic animal herds that roam the ground. Upon landing, breakfast is awaiting you and you will then return to camp.

Nairobi

Day 7: Bye Bye Kenya!

Enjoy your breakfast at the camp, then it's time to head back towards Nairobi. En route you will have another chance to see wildlife and take stunning photos. Upon arrival at the airport, check in for your flight home and wave goodbye to Kenya. Have a safe trip home, and come back soon!
