Day 1: Day 1: Welcome to Beautiful Indonesia!

Selamat datang di Jakarta, Indonesia! Welcome to Jakarta, Indonesia! Your driver will meet you at the airport to take you to your comfortable hotel. Afterwards, enjoy some free time to relax at the hotel. 

Jakarta - Pangkalan Bun - Tanjung Puting National Park

Day 2: Houseboat to Tanjung Puting National Park

Today, you will take the first step on your journey to see the endangered Orangutans of Tanjung Puting National Park.

You will be transferred to the airport for you flight to Pangkalan Bun where your personal driver will take you to Kumai. Get ready for an exciting ride where you will be crossing the beautiful Kumai river to reach the Sekonyer river and the national park. Lunch will be served on board the boat by our own excellent cook.

In the afternoon, you will continue on the path into the national park. Keep your eyes peeled for Proboscis monkeys in the trees lining the river - they are an endemic monkey that can be seen only in Borneo.

Enjoy an excellent dinner and allow the sounds of the jungle to lull you to sleep for your night on the house boat.

Tanjung Puting National Park

Day 3: Meeting the Orangutans

After a delicious breakfast, your boat will take you to Pondok Tanggui, a rehabilitation center for orangutans. Observe these magnificent apes as they visit the feeding platform in the morning.

Return back to the houseboat and continue along the river to Camp Leakey, the highlight of Tanjung Puting National Park. On your journey, keep your eyes on the trees to spot birds and other primates or look into the waters for fish and even crocodiles.

On arrival in Camp Leakey, you will visit the information center to see all work of Dr. Birute Galdikas who studied the orangutans here from way back in 1971. Afterwards, you will trek into the forest to see orangutans feeding in the wild before returning to your boat.

Your captain will take you along the river to the nipa palm area where as the sun sinks the light is replaced by thousands of fireflies. Enjoy your final night on the houseboat.

Pangkalan Bun - Surabaya Airport - Bromo

Day 4: Travel Day to Bromo

After breakfast on your houseboat, you will be transferred to the airport for your next journey to East Java.

After arrival in Surabaya then you will be transferred approx. 3 hours to Bromo. In the afternoon you will have arrived at your resort and have the rest of the day to relax. We recommend getting to bed nice and early as it's an early start for your hike tomorrow!

Bromo - Banyuwangi

Day 5: Hike the Amazing Bromo Volcano Crater

Early in the morning (around 3am..!) you’ll be driven the location of the start of the hike.

After an easy 1 hour hike you will reach the most fantastic view of Bromo and Semeru. After the unforgettable sunrise, you will go to the beautiful Bromo crater. You will then climb a 250-step staircase to the crater rim to explore the Bromo Crater. 

Afterwards, you will be returned to your hotel for breakfast before continuing by car towards Banyuwangi in East Java. The drive to Banyuwangi takes you along the north coast of East Java and takes around 6-7 hours with breaks along the way. Check into your hotel and relax!

Day 6: Discover the Blue Flames of Ijen Volcano

Today you scale yet another amazing volcano. On your 2-hour hike to the Ijen crater you can enjoy a spectacular view of the surrounding area. After arriving at the crater rim, your guide will take you down into the crater where you can admire the famous blue flames on the edge of the sulphurous lake where miners emerge from the steam with baskets of sulphur on their backs. 

After this experience, you'll go back to your hotel for breakfast and rest. Afternoon check out time, continue to Ketapang Harbour where you will board a ferry to Bali. Then it's off to your hotel in Banyuwedang / Pemuteran. 

West Bali National Park

Day 7: Explore the West Bali National Park

Get ready for a trekking tour of the amazing West Bali National Park. From here you will go through the forest of the park spotting (with the help of your guide) the incredible flora and fauna that call this habitat their home. With a bit of luck you can observe large lizards, monkeys, and a wide variety of bird. 

At noon you go back to your hotel in Banyuwedang with your driver. Spend your afternoon relaxing or go find some delicious local food. The rest of the day is yours to spend as you wish!

Banyuwedang - Ubud

Day 8: Waterfalls, Terraces and Temples

Today you will visit the beatiful cultural capital of Bali: Ubud.

On the way to Ubud, you will visit the beautiful Banyumala Waterfall.  At the waterfall, you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings or cool off in the fresh mountain water.

Your next stop is the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces, a truly wonderful experience. The UNESCO World Heritage Site is a kind of living museum that shows the traditional agriculture of Bali.

Then visit the Taman Ayun Royal Temple, one of the most beautiful and impressive temples in Bali, known for its many roofs. After visiting the temple, your driver will take you to your hotel in Ubud where you can relax, or go explore more on your own.

Day 9: Monkey Forest and Water Temples

Today get ready for a fun filled tour with your expert guide. First is your visit to the Monkey Forest, where you can observe the monkeys playing in the trees. Take care of your valuables, the monkeys are very clever and know exactly how to open a backpack!

Afterwards, proceed to Goa Gaja Temple and Gunung Kawi Rock Temple and see some truly holy sites. After the rock temple we go to the Tirta Empul water temple, where you can "purify" yourself in the holy water like the Balinese Hindus. This is as an ancient tradition that the locals all still partake in regularly so you will have a truly unique experience.

Ubud - Denpasar Airport - Labuan Bajo

Day 10: Flight to Labuan Bajo

After breakfast, your driver will take you to Denpasar Airport for your flight to Labuan Bajo. Upon arrival in Labuan Bajo, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel in Labuan Bajo. The rest of the day is at leisure for you to spend as you like.

Komodo National Park

Day 11: Boat Tour First Day

Today is day 1 of your boat tour. You will be picked up and transferred to the port in Labuan Bajo, where your 2-day boat adventure through the national park begins.

First you will head to Bidadari and Kelor Island, where you can swim and snorkel from the beach or explore the beautiful island on a short hike. Afterwards there is a delicious lunch on the boat and you continue sailing to the island of Menjerite, one of the most beautiful snorkeling spots in the national park.

Enjoy your dinner on board and spend the night on the boat in front of the amazing Flying Fox Island, where you can see hundreds of bats during sunset time.

Komodo National Park - Labuan Bajo

Day 12: Boat Tour Second Day

You're on you way to more paradise at island of Rinca. With a national park ranger and your guide, go in search of the famous Komodo dragons, which you can see here in their wonderfully preserved natural habitat.

Afterwards, continue sailing to the beautiful island of Padar, where after an easy hike you will reach the most beautiful vantage point over the national park. On our way back to Labuan Bajo you will stop at Pink Beach and Kanawa Island where we definitely recommend taking a little snorkeling dip because the place is absolutely stunning! Upon arrival at the port, your driver will take you to your hotel for some R & R.

Labuan Bajo - Denpasar Airport - Sanur

Day 13: Back to Bali

Today you will be picked up by your driver to be taken to you Labuan airport to head back to Bali. Your hotel is in Sanur and you will have plenty of options for some amazing spas, resaurants, music cafes and so much more.

Day 14: Farewell to Indonesia

Enjoy your last day in Bali. After breakfast at the hotel and checkout, transfer to the airport in Denpasar where you will head to your next destination, whether it be home or another part of your trip.  While the tour may be over you will never forget your magical experience in Indonesia!
