Day 2: Mystical marvels

Today, your family is in for a treat, because it is time to see a true wonder of the world, and the only remaining one from the original Seven of the Ancient World: The Great Pyramid of Khufu (or Cheops) at the legendary Giza Plateau. Of course, this epicenter of ancient Egyptian culture holds more than that; it is home to many more fascinating pyramids to admire with the kids: The Pyramid of Khafre (Chephren) and the smaller Menkaure (Mykerinos) Pyramid, not forgetting the mysterious Sphinx structure. Embrace over 4,000 years of history and explore some of the mysteries of these ancient miracles of architecture.

After this tour of one of the most famous sites in the world, you and your loved ones will leave Cairo and Giza behind. Enjoy dinner aboard a night train and spend the night uniquely on board a comfortable sleeper train in private compartments, on the way south to Aswan for the next part of your journey through Egypt.
