Detailed Itinerary

Siem Reap
Day 1: Enjoy a Warm Welcome to Cambodia
Welcome to Cambodia. We will pick you up at the airport and take you to your hotel, where you will be offered a welcome drink by a tour representative, who will give you a briefing about Cambodia and the fantastic trip that awaits you.
In the afternoon, your tour guide will show you the center of the bustling river town of Siem Reap. You can have a stroll through the market, get a “fish massage” or have a quick overview of the city; whatever you prefer. We will also take you to a pagoda where you can learn more about Buddhism and receive a blessing from one of the resident monks.

Siem Reap - Angkor Wat
Day 2: The Stunning Angkor Wat Temple Complex
After breakfast, set off with your guide in a tuk-tuk to explore one of the largest and most beautiful temple complexes in the world, Angkor Wat complex. This world heritage site originates from the 12th century and provides a mystical experience of beautiful sculptures and stunning architecture.
First, visit the stunning Angkor Wat temple itself where we will explore the wonderful site with all of its majesties. After a short refreshment break, you will take the short drive to Angkor Thom, which contains, among others, the spectacular 12th century Bayon. The 54 four-headed Buddha statues are one of the most impressive sights of the temple complex.
Later, we will visit the Ta Phrom temple. This iconic temple remains partly overgrown with trees and gigantic roots, that have ‘nestled’ themselves on and in the stone blocks.
Tonight, enjoy a dinner show based on village life.

Siem Reap - Kampong Kleang
Day 3: Vintage Jeep Ride into the Countryside
Set out in a vintage jeep this morning to explore the countryside. Upon arrival, cycle along flat, red dirt roads through local villages, stopping at the local fish market to observe traditional Khmer fish trade. After more cycling and refreshments you will visit one of the most impressive floating villages in Cambodia – Kampong Khleang.
In rainy season you will board a boat to explore the village before sharing a typical Khmer lunch with friendly locals in their stilt home. Afterward, you will visit an island pagoda with a monk’s school. Next, you will proceed to the Vietnamese floating village where you will see the floating school, a hospital, local shops, and even a hairdresser. The houses there are built on floating objects that rise and fall with the water! A spectacular sight indeed.

Siem Reap
Day 4: Enjoy a Free Day in Siem Reap
You are completely free to design today's itinerary by yourself. Are you interested in more temples? There are many more to choose from. Are you looking for some culinary experiences? A cooking class will teach you how to bring the taste of Cambodia back home. Are you feeling active? Rent a bicycle to explore the town or play golf on the famous Nick Faldo golf course. Do you just want to take it easy and relax? Visit a local spa and get a massage or enjoy a swim in the pool. There are many options you can choose from. Have fun and enjoy what Siem Reap has to offer on your free day!
In the evening you can visit Phare, The Cambodian Circus, which tells uniquely Cambodian tales using modern circus arts and high energy music, touching on themes strong in Cambodian traditions, ethos, and spirit.

Siem Reap - Battambang
Day 5: Venture to the Tranquility of Battambang
Today, you will travel to Battambang. In the rainy season, you can choose to journey by boat. Depending on the water level of the river, the trip will last for 5 to 8 hours. Having to rise early is rewarded with a beautiful boat trip that allows you to intensely enjoy life on the riverbanks. You will see people bathing, children fetching water and animals wading through this important source of life.
If the water level is too low, the boat trip is unfortunately not possible and you’ll have to travel by taxi. This drive will take approximately 3 to 4 hours. Naturally, the taxi is always available should you prefer not to travel by boat.
Tonight, you will stay at a hotel with a nice swimming pool and a rustic palm garden.

Battambang
Day 6: Explore Cambodia's Beautiful Landscape
We will start our tour with a ride on the famous bamboo train, a 2.5m x 4m raft-like device that is made from bamboo for local villagers to transport their goods. After this unique experience, we will explore the north of Battambang and drive up to Ek Phnom Temple which was built in the 11th century. On the way, we will stop to visit the villagers and see how they produce local products such as fish paste, sticky rice, rice wine, rice papers, noodles, and clay pots which are commonly used in the countryside to collect rainwater. We will also get a chance to learn more about the Khmer Rouge when we visit the Well of Shadows, a monument to honor the people killed during the war. After lunch, we drive through small villages and between rice fields in our tuktuk towards Phnom Sompov Mountain where we will visit temples, shrines, and killing caves used during the Khmer Rouge period.

Battambang
Day 7: Experience Battambang at Your Own Pace
Today is a free day in Battambang. You can borrow bicycles at the resort and explore the countryside by yourself. Visit the city center or go to the only vineyard in the country. You can climb the stairs at Wat Banan and have a great view or make a trip by boat on the lake with many lotus flowers. Options abound, and the people at the resort can help you arrange your activities. We also can recommend the snack tour arranged by the resort where you will visit small local restaurants and learn more about Cambodian food, the way they prepare it and you will taste it of course.

Battambang - Phnom Penh
Day 8: A Sunset Cruise Along the Mekong
Head to Cambodia's lively capital city, Phnom Penh, with private transportation today. Although it cannot be compared to cities like Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur, Phnom Penh is in progress of becoming a modern metropolis. The many high-rise buildings projects under construction and busy roads make it a real capital city.
In the late afternoon, you will get a different perspective of the city while on a sunset cruise on the Mekong. From the water, you will see the skyline with, hopefully, an unforgettable sunset in the background.

Phnom Penh
Day 9: Tour the Sights of Phnom Penh
In the morning, a traditional Khmer Cyclo (bicycle-powered tuk-tuk) will take you to the Royal Palace, where you can admire the spectacular ancient Khmer architecture. Afterward, you will visit Wat Phnom, where the name Phnom Penh derives from. This pagoda stands on a 35-meter-high hill surrounded by trees where monkeys play in the shade.
Afterward, ride by tuk-tuk to the Genocide Museum of Tuol Sleng, before continuing to Choeung Ek, better known as Killing Fields, where thousands of people were tortured and buried in mass graves. While disturbing, these sites offer an insight into the country’s troubled past, enabling you to understand more about how far the wonderful people of this country have come.
On the way back we visit the huge Russian Market where you can shop for souvenirs until your heart's content.

Phnom Penh
Day 10: Yummy Foodie Tour
Today you have the chance to explore the city and its surroundings at your leisure. You can book a half day-long bicycle tour on the Mekong islands, visit the former capital Oudong by boat, get a behind the scenes look at the Phnom Tamao Wildlife and rescue center, or get a ride in the backseat of a Vespa to less famous places in the city.
Later in the evening, you have the opportunity to join the foodie tour. After a cocktail or beer, you will be taken to a local market to try some tropical fruits, interesting desserts, and delicious meats. Here you will get an insight into Cambodia's often under-represented food scene, rich history, and culture. Finally, you will enjoy a traditional, delicious Khmer BBQ, with a few drinks of course.

Phnom Penh - Kep
Day 11: Visit a Delightful Seaside Destination
Today, after visiting three towns, you will go to a greener part of Cambodia. Kep is a picturesque little place on the coast of Cambodia. It is especially known for its crab market, where fresh seafood is caught and sold daily. You can have samples in many local restaurants with an ocean view. It is recommended to watch the sunset in the lounge of the sailing club Knai Bang Chatt.

Kep - Kampot
Day 12: Plant a Baby Mangrove
Today you will visit the Trapeang Sankea community. You will learn about their project to bring the mangrove back to the coast. Board a boat and venture into the mangroves and help keep this project going. You’ll have the chance to plant a baby mangrove on the Kampot coastline. You can also take a short walk through a specially laid out footpath through the mangroves.
After this exciting activity, you will drive on small roads to Secret Lake. We will serve lunch here surrounded by a stunning view of the mountains.
In the afternoon we’ll visit the famous Kampot Pepper plantation. The best pepper in the world comes from Kampot. You’ll learn everything about red, white, and black pepper. There is also a school on the farm and you’ll get an explanation about the school system in Cambodia.

Kep
Day 13: Enjoying the Last Day in Cambodia
The options abound on your final full day in Cambodia! And the choice is yours! Will you be taking a stroll through the National Park, or take a day-trip to Rabbit Island, or colonial Kampot? You might want to rent a motorcycle, hike through the mountains, or embark on a fishing excursion? These are just a few of the many possible options around Kep! You can, of course, choose to rest and relax beside a swimming pool.

Kep - Phnom Penh
