Rio's legendary carnival: vibrant 7-day trip

This morning your guide will show you around the vibrant neighbourhood of Santa Teresa. Located in the heart of the city, this bohemian district showcases a creative side to Rio. Wander through the winding streets full of modern galleries, bustling restaurants, and local bars.

This evening you will discover the wonderful world of Carnival. It’s time to put on your costume and join in with a Samba school as you dance through the Sambadrome along with thousands of others. 

Today is all about Carnival so take your place in the Sambadrome and watch the World’s largest carnival parade take place before your eyes. 

From incredible costumes to breathtaking samba performances, Rio De Janeiro’s carnival is a wonder to behold and an experience you’ll never forget. 

After a morning at leisure, in the afternoon your guide will take you to the lush Tijuca Forest National Park, which is the world’s largest urban rainforest.

Home to hundreds of species of plants and wildlife you might spot some monkeys, sloths, or tropical birds as you wander through. You will visit the Chinese viewpoint which offers spectacular views over Copacabana, Ipanema and Sugar Loaf Mountain.

After visiting Taunay Waterfall and the beautiful Mayrink Chapel, your guide will take you to Rio’s Botanical Garden. Covering an area of around 140 hectares, the botanical garden is home to around 6500 species of plant. In addition to numerous greenhouses, orchidariums and rose gardens, a lake with giant aquatic plants, such as the largest water lily in the Amazon, "Vitória Regia", is a main attraction.
