Day 1: Welcome to São Miguel!

Upon landing at Sao Miguel Airport, collect your luggage and look out for the friendly face of your private chauffeur who will assist you with your luggage before transferring you in both style and comfort to your 5-star accommodation on the island, the Azor Hotel.

After checking in and freshening up, feel free to spend the rest of the day at your own pace and leisure. Whether that means relaxing by the pool and enjoying the amenities the Azor Hotel has on offer or venturing out into the town to get your first glimpse at life in the Azores, know that no matter the decision, you'll find yourself floating upon bliss with your choice.

Day 2: Cruise the Waters on the Lookout for Dolphins

Our half-day sea trips are a chance to meet and admire the marine mammals of the Azores in their natural habitat. Our boats depart to meet these unique animals, on a trip that is a mixture of fun, adventure, discovery, and scientific knowledge.

You'll start your adventure with the sight of cetaceans (dolphins and small whales) in their natural habitat as they frolic in the waves and waters.

After a briefing from the local marine biologists, you will head on your boat tour out to sea. Be ready to hear a lot of interesting and enlightening information from the guides about the sea life as you sail by the local beauties amongst crystal clear waters.

Day 3: Journey to Pico Island

We hope after yesterday's adventure cruising the Azores' Atlantic waters, you're ready for your next intrepid adventure throughout the islands.

We're sure you've already seen a glimpse of Portugal's highest mountain, but today we'll be traveling to the island which calls it home - Pico Island.

Upon arrival, you'll be met by a private transfer who will transport you to the cozy comfort of Pocinho Bay Guest House, a quaint local accommodation, that will provide not only home comforts but also some of the best regional views this side of the island has to offer.

Day 4: Swim With Dolphins

After a comfortable night's sleep and delicious breakfast, prepare for what may be your highlight of the trip.

Today you will meet the dolphins in person and get to see them up close in their natural habitat. Before beginning this exciting nautical experience, you will receive special instructions from the marine specialist to ensure everything goes safely and smoothly, so you can get the most out of this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Then it's time to jump in! Whilst in water, you'll come face-to-face with these majestic and playful creatures of the sea, allowing for a greater appreciation of the fauna that calls this slice of paradise home.

Day 5: Bathe in the Serenity of Faial Island

This morning, our driver will transfer you to Pico's port for your boat ride to Faial island, another piece of paradise part of the Azores.

Faial has a captivating history and its town is a place full of history and stories to tell. Prepare to explore what you’ve not yet seen with the stunning Horta Marina the centerpiece of all activity on the island.

Your accommodation for your time here is at Azul Singular eco-glamping park which welcomes you with open arms. Get settled in the garden with stunning views and bathe in the tranquility of your home for the next couple of days. Resist the urge to pinch yourself - you are not dreaming.

Day 6: Traverse Faial Island

Today you’ll discover everything that the island of Faial has to offer - an island teeming with history, culture and natural beauty in innumerable amounts, both on land and sea.

The program begins with another boat tour, this time in search of majestic whales who swim the waters of the coast of Portugal all year round - thanks to the warm waters. 

Back on land, we'll begin a tour of the island by Tuk, where you'll be able to see the island and all of its facets from a number of panoramic vantage points before ending at the Museum of the Whale Factory and Interpretation Centre where you'll be able to see how whales have proved critical to life on the Azres.

Day 7: Live Life on Island Time

It's time to head back to Sao Miguel, where it all started, to begin the wind-down to the tour. But don't fret, there's still lots to see and do.

After checking back into your 5-star accommodation, feel free to relax or maybe begin a bit of exploring around Ponta Delgada’s Harbor. 

Go through the main streets of Ponta Delgada, through the main sites of this city with more than 450 years of history. Don't hesitate to make a stop at Ponta Delgada’s Market, a vibrant place and where you can find the main products that come from this land and its sea.

Day 8: Discover the Heart of Sao Miguel

Ponta Delgada is a cosmopolitan city, outward-looking, with a lively economic and cultural life. Boasting a history of over five centuries and precious testimonies of the past, it is a multifaceted city where tradition lives hand-in-hand with the present and cosmopolitanism with wholesome tranquility of the Azorean life.

With your last day on the island, why not take the time to explore off-the-beaten-track beauties that many miss. This is a destination for those looking for adventure, nature, and connecting with themselves and we're more than happy to provide recommendations.

Otherwise, Hotel Azur has a spa which will be happy to provide you with any relaxation needs.

Day 9: Say Farewell to the Azores

Unfortunately, it is time to say goodbye to the Azores. Your private chauffeur will be waiting for you in the lobby, ready. to transfer you to the airport.
