There you'll have plenty of time to relax and unwind from your journey - though we're sure you won't be able to resist setting back out to explore and find your bearings.
Take a leisurely walk around your neighborhood to get acquainted with the area, and settle down in the evening to enjoy a welcome dinner at a traditional Argentine restaurant. The first culinary feast of your trip, a mouthwatering introduction to the bold local flavors, is sure to be memorable!
Return to your accommodation afterwards for an overnight stay in Buenos Aires.

Day 2: Tour the iconic barrios of Buenos Aires
Today, set out to tour the famous neighborhood (or barrio, as they're known locally) of La Recoleta, located in the northern part of the city and home to La Recoleta Cemetery - the resting place for notable historic figures, from former Argentinian presidents to Nobel Prize winners. Afterwards, take a sobering stroll through the lush greenery of Palermo, and spend the rest of the day at your own pace, ticking off the sights you want to see most.
Come nighttime, you'll kick back and enjoy the fun and thrills of an evening tango show with dinner. If you're after more intimacy, you could opt for a private tango evening in a Milonga club. Overnight in Buenos Aires.

Day 3: Soak up the spirit of tango
On your last full day in the Argentinian capital, you will embark on a private tour to uncover the history of tango in the city. Pay a visit to the Abasto neighborhood, where the great teacher of the tango, Carlos Gardel, lived. Continue on to the districts of San Telmo (pause for finger food at the buzzing San Telmo Market) and La Boca, where this incredible dance was born. Then, you'll even get to learn a few moves for yourself with a private dance lesson!
In the evening, enjoy a traditional asado (barbecue) for dinner, before returning to your accommodation for a final night's rest in the capital.

Buenos Aires - Mendoza

Located in the Cuyo region, Mendoza is right in the heart of Argentina's wine country, and is celebrated by oenophiles around the globe for its diversity of wineries and tasting opportunities.
Enjoy a free evening at leisure in Mendoza. Visit a restaurant to savor local cuisine, perhaps getting your first taste of the region’s wines. Optionally, attend a cooking class to learn how to make a traditional barbecue and empanadas. If you have energy for a night out, Aristides Street is a must-visit for its vibrant atmosphere, lined with an array of restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops.

Day 7: Experience the great outdoors around Mendoza
From your accommodation in Mendoza, today you'll head towards the highest mountain of the Americas - the Aconcagua. Part of the Andes range, it reaches an elevation of 6,961m, and offers unrivaled experiences for hiking enthusiasts. You'll get to walk on the trails of the Aconcagua Provincial Park and visit the Horcones Lagoon, a stunning sight surrounded by gently sloping peaks.
Afterwards, visit the Puente del Inca (Inca’s Bridge) to learn about its rare history and beauty - it's a wonderful sight to behold as it arches over the streaming Las Cuevas River. Once the tour has come to an end, return to Mendoza to soak up its nightlife and enjoy another overnight stay.

Day 8: One last full day in Buenos Aires
Today, you'll take a flight back from Mendoza to Buenos Aires, where you'll have the day to spend at leisure, exploring the sights you didn't get to see on your first few days in the capital.
Enjoy your last evening either by attending another tango show or by enjoying a relaxing dinner, savoring one last Argentinian steak. Other dishes we'd recommend include milanesas (schnitzel-style breaded meat) and empanadas, with options available for vegetarians. Overnight stay in Buenos Aires.
