Detailed Itinerary

El Calafate
Day 1: Welcome to Southern Patagonia!
El Calafate, located in the Patagonian steppe, is dry and dramatic. Nestled on the shore of Lago Argentino, the country’s biggest lake, it is considered the capital of the glaciers.
Foremost, it is the gateway to the world-renowned Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the few glaciers in the world that is still growing.
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be taken to your hotel and have time to rest. If you can’t resist the adventure, you can start to explore the area. Why not take a 1 km hike to Laguna Nimez, where a beautiful Patagonian sunset is expecting you? Or immerse yourself into the Glaciarium Museum where you can learn all about glaciers.

Perito Moreno Glacier
Day 2: Close-up to the Perito Moreno Glaciar
In the morning, you’ll travel 40 km (about 25 miles) from El Calafate to the Glaciers National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, while enjoying great views of the Patagonian steppe.
Upon arrival, you’ll go on a 6-hour Perito Moreno Glacier tour. Half of the park is covered by the Campo de Hielo Patagónico, the Patagonian ice field, the world’s largest ice field after Antarctica.
Walkways inside the park will take you to different viewpoints, and you might see a piece of ice breaking off the glacier wall. A bilingual guide will provide you with everything you want to know.
Afterward, you will embark on a boat that will take you even closer to the 80 meters (262 feet) high ice walls of Perito Moreno!

El Chalten
Day 3: El Chalten, the Heart of Patagonia
Simplicity, excellence, and the importance of a deep exploration experience are the concepts embodied in Explora El Chaltén.
Enjoy remote areas of South America through a meticulously planned exploration program.
