Day 1: Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City

Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City (formerly known as Saigon). Vietnam’s largest city bustles with life and showcases 300 years of timeless traditions, as well as a beautifully mixed, colonial-oriental culture.

Upon your arrival at the airport, your driver will take you to the hotel for check-in. Relax and enjoy an overnight stay.

Day 2: The sights & delights of Ho Chi Minh City

After breakfast, have the day at leisure to explore the city on your own. In the evening, get ready for a unique four-hour foodie and nightlife group tour with an English-speaking guide. You'll be picked up from your hotel on a special vintage Vespa, to feel the nostalgia of the 1950s as you explore like a local - traveling by scooter is a way of life for many in Saigon.

Start off with a welcome drink at a local bar. Traverse the city, see the landmarks, and explore the alleys for glimpses of local life. Stop at a restaurant for an introduction to local specialities like Vietnamese pancake, spring rolls, and more, then continue to a seafood restaurant to enjoy more amazing delicacies and a great local vibe. This tour has it all - fun, food, and fascinating sights by night!

Day 3: Fly to Nha Trang

After breakfast at your hotel, you have some free time before a transfer to the airport for your flight to Nha Trang. On your arrival in Nha Trang, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay in this charming coastal city. If you have energy to spare, why not head out and familiarise yourself with its sights and sounds?

Day 4: Beach time in Nha Trang

Enjoy a free day and spend time on the splendid beaches of Nha Trang. You could opt to laze in the sun, swim a little, go diving, or enjoy some pampering spa bliss. Get your dose of beach R&R before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 5: At leisure in Nha Trang

Wake up to another day of sun, sand and sea. After breakfast, do your own thing and hang out on the sandy beaches of Nha Trang. Explore local life, go sightseeing, or relax at a restaurant, bar or beachside café.

Day 6: Travel to coastal Quy Nhon

After breakfast, your driver will take you on a four-hour drive to Quy Nhon, another lovely coastal city.

Upon arrival, check into your downtown hotel and spend the rest of the day at your leisure, exploring sun-kissed beaches and scenic boulevards. Make the best of the beaches, eat delicious seafood, and just unwind to your heart's content!

Day 7: At leisure in Quy Nhon

Quy Nhon is one of the most favoured cities for post-retirement living in Vietnam, with its extensive shoreline, friendly locals, fantastic food, and plenty of delightful places to explore off the beaten track. While locals are well aware of the charms of Quy Nhon, it is still a relatively unknown destination for international travellers. Today, you'll get to enjoy it at leisure, filling your itinerary with the places you want to see and the things you want to do most.

Day 8: Beach fun in Quy Nhon

You have a free day to spend endless hours on the incredible beaches in Quy Nhon. Jump into the water, bask on the shore, or discover local life - the choice is all yours!

Day 9: Vibrant Vespa tour in Hanoi

After breakfast, your driver will take you to the airport for a flight to Hanoi and subsequent transfer to your hotel.

Later, discover Hanoi on an Insider Hanoi Vespa group tour. This four to five-hour afternoon tour begins with a pick-up from your hotel on a vintage Vespa, and a visit to a local restaurant to enjoy Vietnamese cuisine.

Ride on to the market where locals flock for fresh vegetables and food, then continue to the riverside and explore Red River Island. Visit a village and meet a local family to learn about their daily life. Hop back onto your Vespa to journey past a banana plantation and vegetable farm, en-route to a kumquat farm where miniature trees are given as traditional gifts during the Vietnamese Lunar New Year.

Once the tour has come to an end, you'll have free time in the evening to stroll around Hanoi's old quarter at leisure.

Day 10: Cruising on Ha Long Bay

Ha Long Bay, here we come!

In the morning, your luxury limousine or shuttle bus will pick you up from your hotel in Hanoi, en-route to cruise the most amazing bay in the north of Vietnam.

By noon, you will arrive at Hon Gai Pier. Relax, finish registration, board the ship and enjoy a welcome drink. Check into your cabin and savour a delicious lunch while the ship sails into Bai Tu Long Bay. At Cap La Island, go kayaking through the karst and enjoy breathtaking nature, swimming and relaxing. Afterwards, return to the ship and have fun at a sunset party as your cruise sails to the overnight anchorage point.

Relish a sumptuous dinner on board, then unwind with Vietnamese puzzle games or board games. Try your luck at squid fishing or simply sit back to sip a cocktail, taking in the quiet night on the bay.

Day 11: Excursions & on-board cooking experiences

On your second day of cruising, begin with an early-morning Tai Chi session on the sundeck, or catch a morning view of the landscape with a cup of tea or coffee in hand.

After breakfast, you'll get to explore the hidden Thien Canh Son Cave. Upon returning to the ship, you will have about 30 minutes to freshen up and finish packing.

There’s more fun to be had on board with a cooking demonstration: you can learn how to make a simple but delicious Vietnamese dish, nem cuon, or challenge yourself with fruit- and vegetable-carving.

Enjoy an early traditional lunch on board, and by noon, return to the harbour to disembark. Your shuttle bus or limousine will then take you back to Hanoi, for an overnight stay.

Day 12: Goodbye, Vietnam!

Enjoy your last chance to explore Hanoi before transferring to the airport and boarding your onward flight. Farewell and see you again soon!
