A driver will meet you at the airport to transfer you to the Arusha Planet Lodge. This lodge offers a peaceful stay in the heart of the city. The rest of your day is free to enjoy however you wish.

Fly to Mahale Mountains National Park today.  

If you’ve ever dreamed of getting up close and personal with Africa’s chimpanzees, Mahale Mountains National Park is where those dreams come true. Home to some of East Africa’s densest forests; leopards, blue duikers, red-tailed monkeys, red colobus monkeys, and even giant pangolins roam here.

Trek through Mahale Mountains National Park today to find wild chimp families.

Once spotted, enjoy an unforgettable wildlife experience as you watch them go about their daily lives. Your expert guide will enrich the experience with their expert knowledge.

Day 4: Unforgettable Moments

Wake up to another day in wildlife paradise as you prepare for more chimp trekking today.

Mahale Mountains National Park has been studying chimps here since 1965 and their knowledge shines through as they let their stories unfold. The chimps in the park are used to seeing humans, which offers a unique vantage point of quietly standing close to them as you observe.

Day 5: Amazing Arusha

Fly to Arusha this morning, a bustling and colourful city in northern Tanzania.

With streets filled with energy, you’ll want to get out to soak it all up! You’ll have a few options for how to spend the day today, from a vibrant city tour to a peaceful swim in the beautiful Chemka Hot Springs, situated in a lush forest.

Day 6: Arusha Adventure

Embark on a thrilling game drive at Arusha National Park today, nestled in the breathtaking Rift Valley.

Encounter iconic wildlife like giraffes and zebras amidst diverse birdlife. Yet, it's the awe-inspiring landscape that steals the show, featuring the majestic Mt. Meru and Ngurdoto Crater, reminiscent of 'Little Ngorongoro'.

In the afternoon, a walking safari adds an adventurous twist, offering a closer encounter with nature under the guidance of experienced rangers.

Day 7: Wildlife Dreams

Another day, another unforgettable game drive! 

This time head out to Tarangire National Park, here you’ll come across the park’s famous and larger-than-life baobab trees and elephants. These are the twin elements that give this park so much personality.

As well as this you’ll have the chance to spot the park's huge populations of wildebeest, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, baboons, vervet monkeys and zebras. Oh and not forgetting the excellent chance of seeing lions here – Tarangire is a real lion stronghold – and keep an eye out for leopards and cheetahs as well!

Day 8: Explore Empakaai

Embark on an exhilarating hike to Empakaai Crater today, a hidden gem in the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area.

As you set foot in this lesser-known marvel, soak in beautiful views of the crater and catch a glimpse of Oldoinyo Lengai, Tanzania's active volcano. Accompanied by a park ranger, descend through lush forests into the crater, where a pristine lake awaits. Marvel at diverse birdlife, including flamingos, and spot buffalo, hyenas, and elephants roaming the crater floor!

As you descend into the caldera of this ancient volcano, prepare to be awestruck by the unique views of cloud forests encircling the rim. Day 12: Golden Sands

It’s time to fly to beach paradise today!

Board your flight to Zanzibar Island this morning and prepare to be mesmerised by the white sandy beaches and shimmering blue sea before you. The day is yours, so relax on the beach or wander through some of the spice-filled markets that bring wealth to this area.

Spend today soaking up the sun on pristine white-sand beaches, swimming in crystal-clear waters, and enjoying Zanzibar’s vibrant culture!

Day 14: Perfect Paradise

Enjoy exploring Zanzibar Island further today.

Stroll along the beach while enjoying the view of the sparkling light blue ocean! Go snorkelling and scuba-diving, or get lost in a good book as you soak up the warm sunshine. In the evening, try some local cuisine at Rock Restaurant or Shanga Restaurant.

This day is set aside for you to rest and relax at your beach hotel. You will have a free day to enjoy the beach activities or visit the locals to experience their culture, food, and hospitality.

All good things must come to an end, and your time with us on safari in Tanzania will now draw to a close. A driver will transfer you to Zanzibar Island Airport for your onward flight.
