Day 2: Half-day tour of Muscat
This morning we will introduce you to Muscat on a half-day city tour. You'll begin with a visit to the majestic Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, an important religious landmark in Muscat and a fine example of the splendour of Islamic architecture. While visiting ladies should cover their heads with a scarf and wear long-sleeved clothes. Men should wear long trousers and a t-shirt with long sleeves.
We will then continue to Mutrah Souq, which is a great place to buy frankincense, gold, silver and other souvenirs. Enjoy the beautiful drive to old Muscat and a photo stop at Al Alam Palace. On the way back to the hotel, we'll stop for a picture at the Royal Opera House.
