After breakfast, begin your exploration of Marrakech. In the afternoon, enjoy free time to explore the city at your own pace or opt for a visit to the tranquil Majorelle Gardens. Your first stop will be a Berber village for a delicious breakfast and a moment of relaxation. Continue ascending to the highest point of the Atlas before arriving at Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where a local guide will provide insights into its rich history.

After some free time for lunch, explore Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Morocco, with a visit to the Cinema Studio and Museum. Finally, journey through the Rose Valley, Skoura Palm Grove, and Dades Valley before spending the night in a charming Moroccan hotel nestled in the heart of the gorges.

Day 6: Journey to the desert for a night under the stars

After a traditional Moroccan breakfast, depart from your hotel in the Dades Gorges and drive along the scenic 1000 Kasbahs route, passing through colorful Berber villages. Continue 45 km to Tineghir, known for its palm groves and Jewish quarter.

Arrive at the Todra Gorges for a trek through its impressive 300-meter-high canyons, a popular spot for climbers. Next, head towards the Erg Chebbi sand dunes in the Merzouga Sahara desert. Enjoy a lunch break on the way to Erfoud.

Upon reaching the dunes, embark on a sunset ride to your desert camp, where you'll spend the night in traditional nomadic tents or under the stars. Experience the desert ambiance with drum music from the camel drivers, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at the camp.

Then, enjoy a serene camel trek back to the village of Merzouga, taking in the changing hues of the dunes as the day progresses. Upon reaching Merzouga, meet your driver for a scenic journey to Ouarzazate, passing through Nkoub Oasis and Draa Valley. Nkoub, renowned for its over forty ancient kasbahs, offers a glimpse into traditional Moroccan architecture. Continue to the Draa Valley, the world's largest palm grove, a verdant stretch of 200 kilometers, showcasing the lush beauty of this region.

Day 8: History & palaces in Ouarzazate

In Ouarzazate, explore the Cinema Museum, visit the renowned Cinema Studios, and tour the historic Kasbah of Taourirte. Continue your journey to the Kasbah of Telouet, also known as the Glaoui Palace, which once served as a key stop on the caravan route from the Sahara across the Atlas Mountains to Marrakech. This former seat of the powerful El Glaoui family, often referred to as the Palace of Glaoui, offers a glimpse into Morocco's rich history. 

After this, head back to Marrakech for your final night in Morocco.
