Detailed Itinerary

Kuala Lumpur International Airport
Day 1: Touch Down in Malaysia!
Welcome to Malaysia! Our friendly representative will meet you at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. Head to your hotel and freshen up for tonight’s Cultural Dinner Night where you will watch a wonderful cultural show of Malaysian Traditional Dance while enjoying a rich buffet of local delicacies.
There are many more ethnicities in Malaysia than just "Malay": Malaysian society includes Chinese, Indian, and some Eurasian cultures, as well as cultures represented by the indigenous groups of the Peninsular and Malaysia Borneo. You'll love this exciting dinner show, where you'll learn something about them all!

Kuching
Day 2: Arrive in Kuching, Sarawak
After breakfast, you'll catch the mid-morning flight to Kuching, the capital of Sarawak. When you arrive, a short sightseeing tour will show you around the city's fascinating attractions, including the Kuching city mascot, Tua Pek Kong Temple, and Astana palace.
We will make a quick stop at the Urang Sarawak Museum before heading to the hotel to check in.

Matang Wildlife - Kubah National Park
Day 3: Orangutans, Orchids, and Frogs
Today, you'll gain more knowledge and awareness about the endangered wildlife animals of the region while exploring the rainforest in Borneo. You'll start at Matang Wildlife Centre whose main objective is to rescue, adopt, and care for orangutans before releasing them back to the wild once they are independent.
You will then proceed to Kubah National Park, famously known for having the widest range of palms and orchids in Borneo. After having a packed lunch, you will depart on the nature trails with a naturalist guide.
But the fun is not over yet! After dinner, experience Borneo at night on a frogging tour. Make sure to bring a good night camera because there will be literally hundreds of frogs of all shapes, colors, and sizes.

Kubah National Park - Semenggoh Orang Utan
Day 4: Meet the Birds and Orangutans of Sarawak
You will have an early start today to discover the birds of Sarawak in Kubah National Park. The most admired species include the Bornean Blue-flycatcher, the Bornean Bristlehead, and the Bornean Ground Babbler. Whether you're an avid birdwatcher or not, you will surely feel amazed by the amazing range of colors these birds add to their environment. If you stay still enough, the birds may even come closer to say hello.
After lunch, you'll head to the Semenggoh Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, situated approximately 30 min. from Kuching. Make sure you catch their feeding time! Visitors have the golden opportunity to interact with the orangutans as they swing down from the trees for a free hand-out of fruits. Tonight, you will have the unique experience of sleeping in a treehouse. Rest well!

Bako National Park
Day 5: Visit the Sarawak Cultural Village
You'll visit the most iconic cultural village in Sarawak where you will experience a living museum about the major ethnic groups in Sarawak. Gaze at the architecture of longhouses, admire the colorful costumes and dresses, enjoy the traditional music, and learn about the lifestyles of the many tribes in Sarawak such as the Iban, Bidayuh, and Melanau peoples.
If you are lucky, you may come across some of the eventful celebrations held here, such as Sarawak Folklore and Harvest Festival. Organize your time well so as not to miss the amazing cultural performances once you are there. For a once-in-a-lifetime experience, you could also try participating in the tribal dances!

Bako National Park
Day 6: Explore Bako National Park
Today, you will explore the magnificent rainforest in Bako National Park. This spectacularly diverse park is located on Borneo, the third largest island on Earth, shared between Brunei, Kalimantan Indonesia, and East of Malaysia (both Sabah and Sarawak). Sit back and relax during a 20-minute boat ride there from the village of Kampung Bako.
In Bako, you can explore swamp, mangrove, and dipterocarp forests. It is also home to approximately 275 rare proboscis monkeys, one of the most unusual monkey species on the planet, which can only be found on this island. See how many of them you can spot!
