Day 2: The age-old charms of Kavala & Drama
Today, travel from Thessaloniki to Drama and Kavala, immersing yourself in the land of Dionysus. Experience an exquisite wine tasting in Drama, known for its wine production history and vineyard-cloaked landscape. Then, explore the unique Aggitis Cave in Drama, adorned with 2,500-year-old rock paintings.

Also take time to explore traditional villages in the area, such Nikiti and Parthenonas, to experience authentic local culture. Day 4: At leisure in Sithonia
Spend a free day however you wish, exploring Sithonia or relaxing on its beaches. You could take part in an array of optional activities, including hiking along scenic trails, visiting tucked-away local villages such as Vourvourou, or enjoying adrenaline-fueled sports as you snorkel and kayak in sun-warmed waters.
Line your stomach with a relaxing picnic experience or dinner at a seaside taverna, before returning to your accommodation in Sithonia for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Return to Thessaloniki
Today you'll make the two-hour drive back to Thessaloniki from Sithonia, passing through the Halkidiki peninsula as you go.
Back in Thessaloniki, be sure to explore any sites or areas you missed on your first day, such as the White Tower, the Church of Saint Demetrius, and the Ano Poli (Upper Town) district with its traditional houses and panoramic views. Today, you'll take a day trip to Aegae: located near modern-day Vergina and about an hour's drive from Thessaloniki, this was the ancient first capital of the Kingdom of Macedonia.
Explore the archaeological site featuring the tomb of Philip II, father of Alexander the Great, and the Royal Tombs of Vergina. Visit the Museum of the Royal Tombs of Aigai to marvel at artifacts and exhibits related to Macedonian history. Then, enjoy a stroll through the picturesque village of Vergina, known for its traditional architecture and local tavernas.
