Today you will start your trip by visiting Helsinki's most-known cathedrals, constructed when Finland was still part of Russia. For example, you'll see the stark white beauty of the Helsinki Cathedral, which was originally known as St. Nicholas' Cathedral until Finland became independent in 1917.
You will see Helsinki's most beautiful and famous locations, such as the international Kauppatori Market, Sibelius Park and Monument, dedicated to the famous composer, and many others.
The rest of the day is yours to customize as you wish.

Rovaniemi
Day 3: Head North to Lapland
Your day begins with a transfer to Helsinki Airport, where you will catch a direct flight to Rovaniemi. Rovaniemi is the capital of Finnish Lapland (and the hometown of Santa Claus!).
Your guide will pick you up from the airport and check you in at your accommodation.
Later in the evening you will start your Arctic adventure with an authentic dining experience, where you'll eat like a local.

Rovaniemi
Day 4: Take a Husky Sleigh Ride and Gaze at the Northern Lights
Today you will drive through the Arctic Circle, where you will arrive at a genuine husky farm.
There you will meet professionals who will explain everything about huskies in the Arctic. Before taking a short sleigh ride, you will have plenty of time to meet the animals, take pictures and enjoy yourself. Usually, there are puppies at the farm as well.
Have the afternoon to rest and explore Rovaniemi. In the night you will join a Northern Lights photography tour.
How will it feel to watch the Auroras dancing in the Artic sky? Whilst you watch, a professional photographer will take pictures for a unique souvenir of your trip.

Rovaniemi
Day 5: Go on a Snowshoeing Hike Through the Arctic
First, you will transfer with your guide to the Vaattunki area just outside of Rovaniemi in the Arctic forest.
Then, you'll embark on an unforgettable hiking and snowshoeing trip into the forest, where you will pass through frozen rapids and follow amazing nature trails between waterfalls and woods. The short hike is about 3 km and suitable for youngsters and families.
Keep your eyes out for the chance of seeing some birds and wildlife.
Don't worry about warming up after your Arctic trip — you'll finish up with a forest campfire BBQ and warm tea.

Rovaniemi
Day 6: Frozen Lake Adventure: Ice Fishing and Sauna
You will be picked up at the hotel and taken to the lake, where you will start your day of arctic activities.
On the white frozen lake, you will drill a hole and start ice fishing with the help of your professional guide. Spot the best place for a better chance of catching fish, drop your line into the ice hole, sit back and try your luck at fishing!
If you are lucky enough, you will have your fish grilled in the open-fire barbecue. Either way, a traditional Lappish lunch will be prepared for you.
Fill your stomach and get ready for the authentic Finnish experience: a traditional lakeside sauna. The wooden sauna allows you to relieve any stress and warm yourself up with a gentle heat. For a true Lapland experience, take a dip in a hole in the ice just outside the sauna to cool you down, if you dare!
