Day 1: Welcome to Vancouver!

Upon arrival at Vancouver International Airport, look out for the friendly face of your chauffeur waiting for you in the arrivals hall. 

After assisting you with your luggage, your private transfer will drive you to your hotel in the heart of the city which will be your base for two nights. Don't forget to look out the window and be awed by this quaint yet charming city, a jewel in the heart of Canada.

Vancouver is a city located between the sea and the mountains, renowned for its lifestyle, its Olympic Games, its openness to the Pacific, its American-Asian influence and its orange sunsets!

Once you've checked into the hotel, feel free to freshen up and relax before enjoying the rest of the evening by discovering the city at your own pace.

Day 2: See Vancouver from the Water

Enjoy a free day exploring Vancouver. Feel free to spend it at your own pace and leisure, enjoying everything that this quaint city has to offer.

Your guide will give you many explanations about the different neighborhoods of Vancouver such as Yaletown, Gastown, and Coal Harbour before finishing the trip under the huge Lions Gate Bridge overlooking the North Vancouver Mountains.

Day 3: Head for Vancouver Island

To contemplate Vancouver from afar and measure its size, we suggest you take a 12 km bike tour to Stanley Park, the city's lung, located between land and sea. 

The third largest park in North America, it is amazing to be in the middle of nature so close to the lively city center. You will also discover wonderful First Nations totems and unexpected nature - the ideal place to take beautiful pictures of Vancouver. 

You’ll then pick up your rental car and cross to Victoria on Vancouver Island. The ferry between Vancouver and Vancouver Island, located on Canada's Pacific coast. During the crossing, you will pass through many straits offering magnificent landscapes and you will occasionally be able to observe whales depending on the season.

Day 4: Explore Victoria’s City Streets

Start the morning with a refreshing and invigorating sailboat excursion, for a chance to see Victoria from a unique vantage point. Then, use your free afternoon in Victoria to discover the capital of British Columbia at your own pace. Discover the Royal BC Museum, one of the most interesting in the province or enjoy a local beer in a Canadian brewery. Stroll through Victoria's various neighborhoods to observe the magnificent Victorian-style residences, or walk along the waterfront to admire the ballet of seaplanes or the panoramic view of the Olympic mountains of the United States.

Day 5: Hit the Road to Campbell River

Prepare to embark on a day's drive between Victoria and Campbell River, with a few stops in some of the region's most beautiful villages. 

First, we suggest a stop at the village of Cowichan Bay, whose colorful wooden houses around the bay give the village a special charm. 

Then you will visit Duncan and its collection of totem poles that dot the city center. The city is bustling like the Garage Cafe, which brings together artists and restaurants. Finally, the city of Chemainus owes its fame to the many mural paintings that cover the city's walls. 

Stop by some of the most beautiful paintings that trace the history of the region and walk down the small busy shopping street in summer before continuing onto Campbell River.

Day 6: Fishing in Campbell River

Today, start with a morning of fishing on the banks of the Campbell River, a 4km stretch that offers scenic views alongside opportunities to catch chinook, chum, coho, and pink salmon.

Then, enjoy an afternoon at your own pace, exploring your resort's scenic surroundings. Perhaps visit the local maritime museum, or lace up your walking boots to explore the expanse of Elk Falls Provincial Park.

Day 7: Explore Quadra Island

Today, the outdoor exploration of Campbell River and its spectacular surroundings continues! Take a biking trip from Campbell River to Quadra Island, which forms part of the Discovery Islands and is loved for its outdoor and wilderness pursuits. Then, spend the afternoon at your own pace, making the most of your proximity to Elk Falls before returning to your resort for a sound night's sleep.

Day 8: Journey to Whitehorse

Today, leave Campbell River as you drive on to Nanaimo, where you'll board a ferry to Vancouver. From the ferry terminal, continue your drive to Vancouver airport, where you'll drop off your car and board your flight to Whitehorse. Finally, you'll be met at the airport for a private transfer to the center of Whitehorse, where you'll check into your hotel for a rest after the long day's travels.

Whitehorse is known as the capital of the Yukon Territory, in Canada's far north. The city was built around the gold rush of the late 19th century and saw the construction of the first land and railroads to Alaska. You will inevitably be sensitive to the epic history of the city and province during your trip to the Yukon

Day 9: Canoeing Down the Yukon River

Today, head to the Yukon River, where you'll feel yourself taken back in time as you soak up the history of the gold rush. Here you'll see a dam that allows you to observe salmon migrations very closely, which travel more than 3000 km before laying their eggs. As part of the day's activities, you'll get to enjoy an invigorating canoe trip on the Yukon River - a truly unforgettable experience. Return to your accommodation afterwards for an overnight stay.

Day 10: Morning Hike in Miles Canyon

In the morning, head down the river to find the breathtakingly beautiful Miles Canyon. Basalt lava flows have carved the rock in a raw and spectacular way, offering a colorful view of the Yukon River. The colors of the water change with the seasons, from green to blue. Here you'll make the most of the great outdoors on a guided hike, before having the afternoon at leisure back in Whitehorse.

Day 11: Road Trip Down the Klondike Highway

After a comfortable night’s rest and a hearty breakfast, leave Whitehorse and take a public transfer to Dawson City on the Klondike Highway, a road that largely runs along the Yukon River. 

Upon arrival in Dawson City, feel as if you’ve been transported to a mythical gold rush village that has remained very authentic from the Klondike era. The village had its heyday between 1896 and 1902, with a population of 40,000 and was proclaimed the capital of the Yukon. 

It has kept all its charm of yesteryear, with its period facades, its casino, its cabaret, its bars and hotels, and the streets are still not paved. 

With the drive taking approximately 7 hours drive, there is the possibility to take a flight which can be arranged separately.

Day 12: The Gold Digger Era Experience

The day begins with a visit to Claim 33, one of the world's leading gold mining sites. Equipped with the appropriate equipment, you will be introduced to the techniques of gold panning. You will certainly get some gold flakes! 

Then explore the mythical city, Dawson City, in-depth - its facades and streets that have remained almost unchanged for more than a century. 

Finally, your guide will take you to the historic site of the dredger number 4, which was used to extract gold, and will tell you the story of those crazy years. 

You’ll have free time in the afternoon to explore the village at your own pace and leisure before returning to your hotel in the evening.

One Final Jaunt in Dawson City

Day 13: One Final Jaunt in Dawson City

We hope that after a comfortable sleep and a delectable breakfast that you are ready for one final experience in Canada. Lucky for you, how you spend it is up to you!

Why not have a sleep in, a much-deserved rest, before using the free day to explore that which you’ve not yet seen. With your free morning in Dawson city, walk through its dusty streets of the village, you will rediscover the atmosphere of yesteryear. Suggestions for visits will be included in your roadbook. 

After lunch, you’ll hit the Klondike Highway headed back toward Whitehorse.

Day 14: Say Farewell to Canada!

This morning you’ll leave Whitehorse headed for Vancouver. Depending on when your flight is, you may need to head straight to the airport first thing this morning.
