This 10 day tour will show you Lençóis Maranhenses (with Santo Amaro, Lagoa Bonita and Atins), Delta do Parnaíba (with red ibis watching and Feijão Bravo Bay), Barra Grande,Guajiru and Jericoacoara.
This is an impressive off-road trip through one of the most unique regions of the globe, the Route of Emotions – Jeri, Delta, and Lençóis Maranhenses.
Fantastic landscapes such as the “wilderness” of Brazil, full of crystal clear lakes, the only open sea delta in the Americas and one of the prettiest beaches in the world will be visited on this tour, which combines ecotourism, adventure, sun & beach, culture, and cuisine.
You will visit 3 states in the Brazilian Northeast in modern 4×4 vehicles and speedboats, besides several activities such as walks, horse rides, panoramic flights, surf, kite and windsurf, bird and wildlife watching, besides interacting with local communities.

São Luís
Day 1: Welcome To Brazil!
Welcome to Sao Luis!
For your added comfort, you will have an English-speaking guide waiting for at Marechal Cunha Machado International Airport with a sign reading your name.
Your private driver will drive you to your accommodation.

Santo Amaro Maranhão
Day 2: Marvel At The Lagoa De Gaivota
After breakfast, you will embark on a car towards Santo Amaro in the Lençóis Maranhenses.
You will reach the village of Sangue, from where you will depart in 4×4 across trails of sand to the bucolic Santo Amaro, location of the movie Casa de Areia (House of Sand).
You will be received by the transparent Rio Alegre, which embraces the little town along with coconut trees and dunes. After check-in , take an exclusive 4×4 to the Lagoa da Gaivota (Seagull Pond), passing through the region of lakes and fields.
You will ascend by foot on top of the dune that will give us a splendid view of the Lençóis, with the magnificent Lagoa da Gaivota at your feet.
It is worth to walk through the dunes and take a dip in the aquamarine waters waiting for the fantastic setting of the sun.

Day 3: Discover The Otherworldly Lencois Maranhenses
After breakfast and on board of our private 4×4 you will experience one of the most pristine and striking regions of the Lençóis Maranhenses.
You'll start at Espigão (Spike), a region of long and high dunes which divide your attention between the beautiful Rio Alegre and the rich vegetation of the site.
In the magical village of Betânia on the banks of the pond, you will take a pleasant canoe ride up until the giant dunes on the opposite side.
The exuberant and overwhelming nature and the slow way of life of residents will elevate you to an atmosphere of dreams.

Day 4: Travel To Lovely Lagoa Bonita
After breakfast, depart in 4×4 towards the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park.
You will cross the Rio Preguiças by ferry and will go on for 40 minutes across the trails until a very huge and high dune.
From the top, there is a striking view of the Lençóis and you can have an idea of its amplitude.
After a 5-min walk through the dunes you will reach the famous Lagoa Bonita, an irresistible invitation to dive. After lunch (not included), you will explore the impressive Lençóis Maranhenses further.
You will continue across sand trails until Lagoas Azul and Dos Peixes with their incredible and transparent waters.
For those who want to explore the spectacular greatness of the Lençóis, the 20-min walk until the beautiful Lagoa dos Peixes is well worth it.
Before we head back to the pousada, you will enjoy the sunset on Lençóis Maranhenses.

Barreirinhas - Atins
Day 5: Visit The Scenic Cabure Beach
After breakfast, and with all bags packed, depart for the port, where you will embark on fast motor boats up the Preguiças river until Caburé Beach.
On the way, palm trees and mangroves are home to birds, reptiles and mammals.
The first stop will be Vassouras, one of many points where the dunes of the Preguiças River meet the Pequenos Lençóis.
Monkeys (“macacos pregos”) and parrots amaze travelers who stop to refresh themselves with cold drinks served in the shadows of the tents.
You will follow continue on the motorboat to the lighthouse Mandacaru in the village of the same name, which on top of its eight floors will reveal a 360-degree view of all the exuberance of the place.
You will then go to the small town of Caburé and its rustic inns and restaurants, where you will have lunch.
After lunch, you will cross the Preguiças River to the village of Atins where you will stay for the night.

Parnaiba - Barra Grande
Day 6: Enjoy A Day At An Oasis
You will make a short stop for photos at the Oasis of the Rio Novo (New River), the beginning of Pequenos Lençóis.
You will pass through Paulino Neves and its streets displaying their white sand and its wooden bridge over the Rio Novo. Secondary roads will lead you to Lagoinha.
Then you will navigate on to Tutóia, where you will take the speedboat with which you will cross the Delta do Parnaíba and its majestic labyrinth of islands, such as Igoronhon, Paulino, Caju and Canárias Islands, where we will stop at Morro do Meio for a quick walk on the giant dunes of Caju Bay and a swim in the waters of the Parnaíba River.
The guarás (red ibis), a beautiful bright red-colored bird can be seen by the hundreds at sunset.
Upon arrival at the port of Tatus, from where we will be transferred to the hotel in Parnaíba.

Day 7: Relax under palm trees
Enjoy a relaxing day on the beach of Barra Grande today!

Jericoacoara
Day 8: Make Your Way To Jericoacoara
According to the tide, you will leave Barra Grande and make your way to Jericoacoara along 115 km of asphalt until the raft, at the mouth of the River Coreaú, with which you will cross it to reach the white dunes and carnaúbas palm trees in Camocim’s Island of Love.
The 4×4 will follow the waterfront until the beach of Tatajuba. You can descend the Funil dune using sandboarding planks leased at place (not included).
In the Torta Lagoon you will be delighted with the small hammocks over the water and the fruits of the sea curious “live” menu from Didi’s restaurant.
The second ferry crossing will take place on the Guriú beach, with its green-water channel and the cemetery of the mangrove trees.
You will follow the waterfront to Jericoacoara where you will arrive in time to enjoy the sunset on the famous Duna do Pôr do Sol (Dune of the Sunset), the daily ritual of residents and visitors of the place.

Day 9: Enjoy Lagoa De Paraiso
After breakfast, enjoy a tour off the beaten track at Lagoa do Paraíso and Lagoa do Coração, visiting the Pedra Furada (Holed Stone), another of Ceará’s postcard landscapes , which you will reach after a 20-minute walk from the Duna do Serrote.
On the Lagoa do Paraíso, the vibrant colors of the place refer to the Caribbean paradise: white and very fine sands are confused with the green of the ground vegetation and coconut trees which in turn frame the turquoise crystal-clear waters.
An excellent variety of bars and restaurants are available here.

Fortaleza
Day 10: Farewell, Brazil!
After breakfast we drive with the 4x4 jeep along the sea to the beach of Preá, where we reach the asphalted road after 14 km. We will pass through several small towns such as Acaraú and Itarema until we reach the sandy beaches of Icaraí da Amontada, Apiques, Caetano, Baleia and Mundaú where we will cross with the ferry that will take us to Guajiru beach.
During this stretch of coast, the blue sea, the dunes and the coconut palms lead us through small colonies of fishermen, interspersed with sophisticated beaches and their luxurious buildings, in an exciting landscape typical of the Ceará coast.
After lunch we will continue our seaside adventure by visiting the Trairi River, which we will cross by ferry, and the beautiful Lagoinha beach, postcard from Ceará. Soon after we will continue to the beaches of Cumbuco, already in the metropolitan area of Fortaleza.
Transfer to the airport.
