In this itinerary, you'll get to explore the Anavilhanas Archipelago and Rio Negro by spending a few days on a house boat, and then spend some time exploring the jungle in depth, including two nights of camping and learning survival techniques in the jungle! Besides this, you'll visit waterfalls, indigenous villages, fish piranha, swim with pink dolphins, and visit a community school in the jungle.

Free Day in Manaus
Excursion: Use this day as a free day to explore the vicinity and the city's historic center. We also recommend a visit to the Musuem of Amazonia! Take the guided tour there and see their exhibits with snakes, victoria regia (aquatic plants), aquariums, big threes and small wild animals such as alligators, turtles and birds. And do not miss the observation tower! Do not get discouraged by the several steps, you will have an amazing view of the forest and the city, from a distance, once you get to the top.

Day 3: Presidente Figueiredo

Day Tour to Presidente Figueiredo
Excursion: Forest, rivers , waterfalls , cascades , caves and Adventure Tourism activities are some of the attractions of Presidente Figueiredo, a city located 107 km from Manaus . In this piece of paradise we can visit Maruaga Park, rapids of Urubuí Park, APA Shrine or Iracema waterfall with several trails in the woods where we will be in direct contact with nature and we can see a wide variety of typical plants and visit the Cave and also bathe in the waterfall.

Day 4: Manaus

Amazon EcoAdventure Boat Travels Up the River, Day 1.
Excursion: Leave the hotel early in the morning to board your boat up the Rio Negro! Head to the Ceasa Port where you will get to see the Amazon freshwater fish market. Then we will take our houseboat to the famous ‘Meeting of the Waters’ where the Rio Negro and the Solimões meet to form the Amazon River, where you will have an opportunity to take photos and hear an explanation of the phenomenon. We continue up the river to the Janauary Ecological Park, where we will take a catwalk through the jungle to see the famous giant water lilies, take photos and hear about the ecology. We will see one of the biggest trees in the rainforest, the Samauma, before returning to the houseboat for lunch. After lunch we will go piranha fishing and then return to the houseboat to start moving up river to Cachoeiro do Castanha village, where we will stay overnight. On the way upriver, you can enjoy a beautiful sunset dinner. After dinner we will go out for a nocturnal canoe ride to explore the area and spot nocturnal wildlife. Maybe a snake, or another animal - whatever nature has in store for us. We will return to spend the night on the houseboat.

Day 5: Manaus

Boat Travels up the River, Day 2.
Excursion: At 5:30am the houseboat will start to move upriver to Jaraqui, which is one of the tributaries of the Rio Negro. On the way, you will have a great opportunity to witness a spectacular sunrise, enjoy breakfast and then go on a jungle trek for about 3 to 4 hours with an explanation of medicinal plants, survival techniques and fauna and flora. We will return to the houseboat and start moving upriver to the Anavilhanas Archipelago, having lunch on the way. After arriving at the Three Mouths we will go along the island to explore by motorised canoe . We can spot monkeys, macaws, toucans, and parrots too. We will return for dinner, then at night go caiman spotting before returning to spend the night on the houseboat.

Day 6: Manaus

Boat Travels up the River, Day 3.
Excursion: Before breakfast, we will go to explore to see more macaws and toucans. After breakfast we will canoe around the island to spot wildlife, then back for lunch. After lunch, we will move downriver to Acajatuba Lake where you will swim with the pink dolphins, then it’s back to the houseboat for dinner and to spend the night.

Day 7: Manaus

Final Day on the House Boat!.
Excursion: After breakfast we will visit one of the Amazon tributaries by motorised canoe to spot wildlife; monkeys, birds, and sloths. It’s back to the houseboat for lunch, and then we go downriver to Tatuzinho village where you will have the opportunity to see members of the Barrasana tribe perform rituals for about 40 minutes and you will be able to dance with them. We then go back to the houseboat and make our way to the port, where we'll take a van to our lodge in the jungle for the next few days. Arrive at the jungle lodge for dinner.

Day 8: Autazes

Amazon Green Tours - Canoeing Through Amazonian Igarapés
Excursion: Go canoeing in the creeks (Igarapés) - depending on the season, the water levels can be quite different. During the high river season (April - September) - we will bring our canoe right in the middle of the creeks, and find a variety of birds and small mammals in the trees. During the dry season (October - March), we will go along the river, where you have the opportunity to see more wildlife, like monkeys, birds and toucans. Tour is appx 1 1/2 - 2 hours.

Day 9: Autazes

Amazon Green Tours - Hike & Camp in the Jungle
Excursion: At 5:​20am you will leave for small canoeing to spot wildlife Birds and monkey return for Breakfast, then you leave to upstream to exploring on Mutuca river to see when of the largest tree in the Amazon Rainforest. On the way upstream, you may have a great opportunity see more wildlife, then return for lunch. In the afternoon, we will leave for overnight in the jungle using hammocks and mosquito nets. We will set up our camp, and you will learn how the natives survival in the wild using natural things like leaves to make a plates and using wood to make spoon. We'll have dinner, and afterward we go out for small nocturnal hike to spot nightlife before heading back to the camp to sleep.

Day 10: Autazes

Amazon Green Tours - Survival Techniques
Excursion: Breakfast in the jungle, then trek for about 4 to 5 hours through the jungle where you will learn more about the Amazon rainforest and about survival techniques, like how to get water from vines and eat what you get from the jungle. We'll return to the campsite and eat then take everything and move to spend the night in a different place, where you go to set up another camp and after noctunal canoeing to spot night life, head back to the camp to sleep.

Day 11: Manaus - Autazes

Amazon - Making Manioc Flour.
Excursion: You'll head to a part of the forest where you'll pick your own cassava (manioc) in the forest, in order to bring back to the village port, and at a "Casa de Farinha," a small shack where locals product their own cassava flour, learn to make your own, and bring some back to the lodge or home, for your meals.

Day 12: Autazes

Amazon Green Tours - Visiting a Local Community
Excursion: Today, you'll visit a local community project your provider supports, which is a school near the lodge. You'll participate in activities with the children, and learn a little bit about daily life in the village near our lodge. We'll have lunch at the school, and return to the lodge in time for dinner.

Excursion: You'll leave shortly after your morning tour, in the city in time for your flight or tour of the city.
