This itinerary is paired with a couple days on the coast of the Caribbean Sea’s Placencia Penninsula. From here, you’ll snorkel the world's second-longest living barrier reef, filled with colorful coral formations and diverse marine life that call the Belize barrier reef home.

Day 1: Welcome to Belize!
Welcome to Belize... On arrival, your friendly driver will transfer you to your hotel. The rest of your day is at leisure to spend however you wish.
Western Belize is the hub of jungle adventures, boasting Mayan Temples, cave explorations, zip-lining and more, so spend the rest of your day unwinding at your eco-lodge, ready for the activities to come.

Day 2: Mayan marvels
Embark on an unforgettable journey through Belize's lush forests today, where every step unveils the mysteries of ancient Mayan civilisation.
Wander along forest trails rich with flora and fauna, delving into tales of the nobles and peasants who once lived in this mystical realm. Discover the remnants of a bygone era as you explore ancient courtyards, ball courts, residential complexes and a complete astronomical observatory. Marvel at the awe-inspiring Caana, the largest Mayan ruin in Belize, measuring 43 metres high.
After refuelling with a picnic, this afternoon, take a refreshing dip at the Rio Frio Cave and Rio On pools, nestled within the picturesque Mountain Pine Ridge.
Later, head back to your lodge for another evening of relaxation.

Day 3: Spend a day at leisure...
Today is at your leisure to spend in any way you want! Take advantage of the many complimentary amenities at your lodge. Depending on where you stay, you could do a spot of bird watching, float down a gentle river, work up an appetite with some hiking, then spend the evening roasting marshmallows and star gazing at the beautiful open sky above.

Day 4: Captivating caving
Gear up for an unforgettable caving adventure in Actun Tunichil Muknal Cave.
Follow your guide through a winding forest trail leading you to the entrance of the cave, where a short swim will carry you into this amazing underworld realm. Trek through the main water passage and pass by sparkling stalactites, stalagmites and flow stones, each bearing witness to ancient secrets and geological wonders. Known as Xibalba, the Maya underworld was believed to be a realm where kings and shamans communed with gods and ancestors through rituals. Discover the Mayan belief in dual-faced gods, where offerings of food, blood or sacrifices sought blessings for rain, fertility and prosperity.
After your cave exploration, recharge with a delicious lunch at the park before heading back to your lodge for the rest of the day.

Day 5: Day of leisure
Today is another day of leisure to spend your way. From Calico Jacks Zip lining to a guided canoeing expedition down the Macal River, this is a day full of possibilities and adventures.

Day 6: Picture-perfect journeys
Today will take you on a picturesque journey along Belize's famed Hummingbird Highway.
After breakfast this morning, you'll head off to the stunning Placencia Peninsula. Enjoy a complimentary stop at the Inland Blue Hole for a refreshing swim before continuing onwards to your accommodation.
Adorned with 16 miles of tropical beaches, Placenica Peninsula is bordered by a serene lagoon to the west and the azure Caribbean Sea to the east. What was once a quaint fishing village has blossomed into one of Belize's favourite beach destinations.
Silk Cayes - Belize Barrier Reef
Day 7: Sensational snorkelling
Dive into the pristine underwater paradise of Silk Cayes, Southern Belize's jewel. Nestled near the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System, the world's second-largest coral reef, these cayes offer unparalleled snorkelling experiences right from their white sandy shores.
Perfect for beginners and families, explore vibrant reefs teeming with colourful fish and marine life, just steps from the beach.
After a Belizean-style beach lunch, dive back in for another guided snorkel session at Turtle Ray Alley. Swim alongside loggerhead turtles, nurse sharks and rays on this incredible day.

Day 8: Rest and relaxation
Today is a day of R&R, to spend in your way. Explore the laid-back village of Placencia and relax on the golden sandy beaches or book onto one of the many local tours available. It's up to you!

Day 9: Belizean sunset cruise
After a day of soaking in the sunshine, set sail this evening on a breathtaking sunset cruise on the Belizean waters.
Sip on local cocktails as the setting sun paints the sky above and the stars come out over the Caribbean Sea.

Day 10: Relax in Placencia
Your final day is spent however you wish today, whether that be on a chocolate-making tour, at the Ya’ackin Butterfly farm or simply enjoying the area’s serene beaches one last time.

It’s time to bid farewell to Belize. You will take a short local flight from Placencia to Belize International airport for your onwards flight.
