Coffee lovers can make a stop at the historic Café Tortoni, renowned for its beautiful Belle Èpoque interior. In the evening, savor a welcome dinner at a traditional Argentine restaurant.

Day 2: Exploring the city

You have the whole day to explore Buenos Aires. Visit the iconic Plaza de Mayo and the Casa Rosada, the presidential palace, wander through the historic neighborhood of San Telmo, renowned for its cobblestone streets and lively tango bars, and enjoy some finger food at the bustling San Telmo market. The colorful city has so much to explore!

Day 3: Journey to El Chaltén

Leave the city behind as you journey to El Chaltén. First, Take a morning flight from Buenos Aires to El Calafate, followed by a bus transfer to El Chaltén.

After checking into your hotel, enjoy a light lunch and spend the evening at your leisure.

Day 4: Hiking for views of Mount Fitz Roy

Head outdoors and hike the challenging Laguna de los Tres trail, a 13-mile round trip known for its steep ascent and rewarding views of the iconic Mount Fitz Roy. The trail takes you through diverse landscapes, including dense forests, rocky terrain, and clear blue glacial streams.

Enjoy a packed lunch amidst the breathtaking Patagonian scenery, with panoramic vistas of glacial lakes and rugged peaks.

Day 5: Travel to El Calafate

Take the bus to El Calafate, then spend the day exploring the charming town. Visit the Glaciarium, a renowned glacier interpretive center, to learn about the fascinating ice formations and the history of Patagonia's glaciers.

Check in to your new hotel in El Calafate before heading out for dinner.

Day 6: Get up close to giant glaciers

Today, take a guided tour to the Perito Moreno Glacier in Los Glaciares National Park, where you can walk along various viewing platforms to see the magnificent glacier up close. For an even closer view, you have the option to take a boat ride.

After returning to El Calafate, enjoy dinner at a local parrilla (grill), savoring traditional Argentine cuisine.

Day 7: 4x4 adventure in the Estancia

This morning, enjoy a boat trip across Lake Argentino to Estancia Cristina, where you can tour the historic estancia and learn about its fascinating history.

Here, you can choose between a hike, horse riding, or a discovery tour in the Estancia. Then, explore the Upsala Glacier by 4x4, enjoying the breathtaking panoramic views.

El Calafate - Ushuaia

Day 8: Journey to the 'end of the world'

It's time to move on to a new region! Take a morning flight from El Calafate to Ushuaia, known as the 'End of the World.'

After checking into your hotel, spend the afternoon enjoying a relaxing walk along the scenic waterfront, soaking in the picturesque views.

Day 9: All aboard your Australis cruise

Begin your adventure with a half-day tour of Tierra del Fuego National Park, exploring its rugged landscapes and pristine beauty.

In the late afternoon, board the Australis cruise, renowned for its luxurious accommodations and unique routes through the southernmost regions of Patagonia.

Attend the welcome orientation and safety briefing to familiarize yourself with the ship and its amenities. Enjoy a sumptuous dinner onboard as you embark on your journey through the Beagle Channel, a spectacular waterway known for its dramatic scenery and diverse wildlife.

Sail onward through the majestic Glacier Alley, where towering glaciers cascade down from the Darwin Mountain Range into the sea. Attend an onboard presentation about the region's glaciology, enriching your understanding of the geological forces shaping this remarkable landscape.

Day 12: Spotting seals & seal lions

Explore the Garibaldi Glacier area with a shore excursion, where you'll embark on a hike to a viewpoint offering breathtaking views of the glacier.

Engage in a wildlife-watching excursion to spot seals and sea lions in their natural habitat. As the day winds down, indulge in a special dinner onboard featuring delightful regional cuisine, complemented by the serene beauty of the surrounding landscapes.

Day 13: Penguin spotting & disembarking in Chile

Disembark from the cruise for a visit to Magdalena Island, renowned for its Magellanic penguin colony. Take a guided walk through the penguin habitat, observing these charming creatures in their natural environment.

It's then time to disembark your cruise. Now in Chile, disembark in Punta Arenas where you'll transfer to your hotel to continue your journey.

In the morning, catch a flight from Punta Arenas to Santiago. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy a leisurely lunch in the vibrant city center.

Begin your exploration with a visit to the historic Plaza de Armas, the main square of Santiago, where you can admire the architecture of the Metropolitan Cathedral. Wander through the lively Mercado Central, a bustling marketplace known for its fresh seafood and local delicacies, offering a glimpse into Santiago's culinary culture.

Day 15: A vibrant city exploration

Take a funicular ride up to Cerro San Cristóbal for breathtaking panoramic views of Santiago. Delve into Chile's poignant history at the Museum of Memory and Human Rights, which provides profound insights into the country's past.

Wander through the lively Bellavista neighborhood, known for its colorful street art and vibrant atmosphere, and visit La Chascona, the former home of Nobel Prize-winning poet Pablo Neruda, where you can explore his eclectic collections and gain an intimate glimpse into his life.

Santiago De Chile

Day 16: Goodbye, South America
