Day 1: Welcome to Albania!

Upon arrival at Tirana International Airport, meet your guide who will transfer you to your hotel in the heart of Tirana. Explore its transformation from a grey post-communist city to a colorful and lively metropolis. Take in the unique atmosphere and fascinating blend of past and future. Enjoy a welcoming drink and dinner in a gastronomic restaurant, where you can taste the flavors of Albanian cuisine and soak up the city's vibrant energy.

Day 2: The natural wonders of Albania's coastline

Get ready for an action-packed day exploring the best of Albania's natural wonders. You'll start by visiting the largest lagoon in Albania, Karavasta Lagoon, then climb up to a panoramic tower for stunning views of the area. After, hop on a boat and spot some majestic birds such as pelicans and flamingos. 

Next, you'll head to the port city of Vlora, where you can either dive into the crystal-clear waters of the Adriatic Sea to discover sunken shipwrecks or explore the underwater biodiversity of the Karaburun Peninsula.  After your underwater adventure, you'll enjoy a delicious dinner and relax into the evening.

Day 3: Thrilling adventures in Llogara National Park

After breakfast, get ready to experience the exhilarating Llogara National Park. Here you will have the option to either take to the skies on an unforgettable 900m paragliding descent to the beach, enjoying panoramic views of the Albanian Riviera along the way; or for a more grounded adventure, embark on a short hike to the historical Caesar's Pass, where you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the Albanian Riviera.

After your adventure, journey to Dhërmi, a charming seaside resort nestled between the sea and mountains, where you'll enjoy a scrumptious lunch with a view of the sea. In the afternoon, discover the wonders of the Albanian Riviera, including the stunning Canyon of Gjipe and its isolated beach, as well as the mysterious caves of pirates.

Dhermi - Butrint - Saranda

Day 4: Dive, kayak & explore

Get ready for another day of exploration. For those interested, join an optional diving experience in the crystal-clear waters of the Ionian Sea. 

Drive along the stunning Albanian coastline and stop for lunch at a mushroom restaurant overlooking the picturesque Lake Butrint. After, visit the historic town of Butrint, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and explore the ancient city built by the Trojans in the 4th century BC. 

Next, set off on a kayaking and swimming excursion in the lagoon at the Butrint National Archaeological Park. Paddle through the calm waters of the lagoon, surrounded by beautiful scenery and ancient ruins. Take a refreshing swim in the clear waters and soak up the history of this fascinating place.

Jeep adventure

Saranda - Borsh - Saranda

Day 5: Jeep adventure

Buckle up for a thrilling Jeep adventure through the stunning landscapes of the Albanian Riviera! You'll start your day by driving to the charming village of Borsh, where you'll get to witness the mesmerizing Borsh Waterfall

Your next stop will be the traditional village of Pilur, where you'll have the chance to discover rural Albania and experience the traditional way of life whilst indulging in a delicious and authentic Albanian lunch in the village, giving you a taste of the local cuisine.

After, head towards Llamani Beach, one of the most picturesque beaches in Albania, where you can unwind and soak up the sun before returning to Saranda in the evening.

Saranda - Gjirokastër - Berat

Day 6: Ottoman architecture & wine tasting

Spend your morning exploring the charming town of Saranda or take an optional dive to discover the SS Probitas, an Italian cargo ship sunk during World War II. 

Depart for Gjirokaster, a city that boasts stunning Ottoman architecture, and enjoy lunch at one of the local restaurants. Then, continue to Berat, known as the 'city of a thousand windows', another beautiful example of Ottoman architecture in Albania. 

On the way to Berat, stop at Çobo Winery, a family-owned vineyard, for a wine tasting and a chance to learn about Albania's rich wine-making heritage. Finish your day with a delicious meal and an evening stroll around Berat.

Day 7: Hike or raft in Osumi Canyon

On your final full day in Albania, get ready for an exciting adventure in the Osumi Canyon

From December to July, start your day with a river hike through the canyon. The unique ecosystem here is a sight to behold, and you shouldn't miss the opportunity to explore it. Along the way, you'll have the chance to swim in the natural pools and even jump from the rocks. 

Or between July and December, go on a thrilling rafting excursion through the canyon. You'll pass through natural wonders like the Champagne Waterfall, the Devil's Gate, and the Love Waterfall, where legend has it that those who kiss below will remain in love forever. 

After your adrenaline-pumping adventure, depart for Tirana, where you'll spend your last night in Albania.

If you have the time, explore Tirana before your flight home. Spend the day sampling some of the country's famous raki and soaking up the vibrant atmosphere.
