Great trip with wonderful guides.

Awesome trip. We were able to spend 3 weeks in Morocco visiting quite a few cities, sights, and towns which gave us a good flavor of the country as a whole.

What was good about our local partner based in Morocco ?

The local Expert always responded quickly to any of our questions or concerns. We felt well taken care of.

What could our local partner based in Morocco improve on?

At this time, we are still in vacation bliss, so I would say nothing. All was planned out well.

What did you think about the guides or drivers on your trip?

Our guide was informative, accommodating and friendly. He represented Morocco well and seemed very proud of his country. Each city guide that was arranged worked out very well too. Our driver was very competent, friendly and easy going. We felt very safe knowing he was behind the wheel.

What advice would you give to other travellers planning a trip to Morocco?

Do your homework. We read travel blogs and travel books on Morocco. As a vegetarian choices are limited unless you want to eat pretty much the same thing for the duration of your stay, however we did some searching on Trip Advisor and found some really forward thinking restaurants. Also, ask the managers at the places you are staying for suggestions. If you are a shopper and are not prepared to bargain, hold on to your hats, bargaining is brought to a art form there and can be intimidating. Please tip the people that help you! Wages there are considerably lower and people depend on them. That means, not only your guides, driver and restaurant but also consider your camel handlers, room cleaning staff, breakfast staff (even if it is included with your stay), etc. The people in Morocco were friendly and welcoming. We were respectful of them and their customs and they were the same to us.

What was the most memorable part of your trip?

I guess I’d have to say the Sahara. Finally actually being there after seeing it in pictures my entire life. Also, I enjoyed witnessing the mix of old/traditional customs that are still in practice mixed with some of the modern practices of today.
