Local Knowledge does make the difference! Fantastic trip!

TravelLocal are excellent. I recently returned from Argentina and credit TravelLocal and their partners for what proved to be a trip of a lifetime. The website, which you can navigate with ease, offers really well researched itineraries together with travel blogs and recommendations by country. My local travel expert was brilliant and obviously extremely knowledgeable. Working with her to tailor my itinerary was really fun and her enthusiasm for both the country and things to see and do was infectious! The model works really well - a personal service tailored to your individual requirements with partners who can actually provide a local experience. Next stop with TravelLocal is Africa!

What was good about our local partner based in Argentina and Chile?

Luján was amazing to work with and really enthusiastic about the trip. Pepe who met us at the airport was fantastic and at no point did we feel stressed, just very well looked after and in safe hands.

What could our local partner based in Argentina and Chile improve on?

We had one excursion in a very small car in Patagonia across really long distances, which was uncomfortable and impacted on the enjoyment of the trip, but otherwise very happy with the local agent.

What did you think about the guides or drivers on your trip?

The guides and drivers were exception. Extremely knowledgeable and very personable without ‘crowding’ us.

What advice would you give to other travellers planning a trip to Argentina?

Patagonia El Calafate and from Puerto Madryn the Punto Tombo and peninsula excursions. Loved the hotel in Palmero and eateries in the area were fab, especially the local empanada shop.

What was the most memorable part of your trip?

The country and the people. Walking in the foothills of the Andes. Lamb feast on a ranch outside El Calafate
