The trip to Costa Rica was fantastic we saw and experienced lots of things and got the opportunity to do lots of activities. Its a fantastic holiday destination, easy and safe to travel in with lots of variety.
The communication pre-trip was great and very responsive. They answered everything i asked quickly and efficiently
1) Do a proper fact find - ask how much time people want free - we ended up having to book a lot of extra things as there was so much free time. 2) Provide a proper itinery with times - the briefing was sketchy and not information provided was accurate - one of the trips had the wrong time on it. 3) Make sure people understand and agree to whether they are in town or far out - some of our hotels were far away from anything which involved a lot of extra expense. 4) Provide options of different tours - our itinery was fine but had I known other things that were available i might have chosen different options 5) Provide ideas of things to do - We had 2 days in San Jose where there is nothing to do really and were just left to our own devices. We are used to independent travel so it was ok but if I'm paying for a tour i would expect more - we got a lot more in Guatemala
We didn't have any
Think about distances - and what you want to spend time doing. Lots of things are quite close together and you can really utilise time well but it needs proper planning. Think about weather. We were lucky but other people had a lot of rain. Think about whether you like touristy or un touristy - west coast is much more touristy Cahita is far from anything and a long way if you only go for 2 days
Loved Rio Tropicales - river rafting Tortugeira Zip Wiring and Canopy tour
