We decided to ask TravelLocal and their partner in Indonesia to create a unique honeymoon tour of Java and Bali, and they did not disappoint, the local travel agent was fantastic, ready to help at a drop of a hat. if you want to create your own adventure I would recommend TravelLocal in an instant. As soon as we came back from Indonesia I logged back on to their website and started planning for the next adventure ! If you ever need any ambassadors for TravelLocal we are happy to help :)
Evy our rep from TravelLocal's Indonesian partner agency was very good, she was always ready to help and make amendments to the holiday even tough we were on the trip already.
Evy was fantastic, always ready to hand, the guide they provided was very handed ( good reading on a +14 hour flight !)
Our main driver was fantastic, we were very sad to say bye to him at Yogyakarta, he was a fantastic driver, full of knowledge, very good English described / went through all arrangements with us so we were at ease with everything. Special mention to the guide we had in Yogyakarta, we really enjoyed his company and was very knowledgeable. The driver we had in Malang just needs to explain things a little bit better, we had some issues at the hotel that could of easily been averted had he told us what was going on ( in the end Evy yet again sorted it all out).
If you plan to visit Indonesia don't just go to Bali, Java is amazing, the people, the views the sprit of the country is something spectacular, get up early watch the sunrise, climb mountains and take in the beauty of this majestic country, the people are friendly and always happy to help. When visiting Borobudur we would recommend staying at the Rumah Dharma, I cannot praise them enough for their hospitality and service, the hotel is one of the most picturesque places I have ever been, I have stayed in many five star hotels all around the world, but Rumah Dharma beats them all, for how welcome they make you, the hotel only has six cottages so you feel so special staying their, I would go back to Indonesia just to stay there again!
Driving through the Sand Sea in a open top jeep and Climbing Mount Bromo, hiking up and staying the night on Mount Merbabu, cycling through paddy field as and the sunrises in Borobudur
