Where to go in 2018… and why!

2018 is very nearly upon us, and we at TravelLocal HQ are dreaming of the destinations that we want to explore in the upcoming year. The nature-lovers among us are craving trips into the wilderness to experience the best safari on offer or treks into the jungles to meet orangutans and gorillas, while the culture-vultures are keeping their eyes peeled for spectacular festivals and one-off opportunities. This made us realise that it’s all well and good telling you which destinations we think will be lovely in 2018, but to be perfectly honest we think that all of our destinations are worth a visit! So what makes some stand out further than others at certain times of year?

We’ve done careful research, and have matched a destination to each month of the year, highlighting the extra special something that makes it the best place to visit at that particular time. That could be the Jazz festival set to rock Panama in January, Armenia’s wine harvest in October, the whale watching in South Africa in November or the National Horse Games in Kyrgyzstan, which are held each July. Whatever kind of attraction appeals to you, you will find it in these pages, and we hope you love reading it as much as we enjoyed writing it.
