A generally well organised trip from TravelLocal's Uzbekistan partners. Highlights: Well planned itinerary in Uzbekistan, very good driver (Mr Hussein) and vehicle, generally good guides ( highlights Oktobyr in Nukus, Rihanna in Samarkand) Lowlights: Mehmet ? (Khiva guide) a bit formulaic , and Tamara ? ( Tashkent guide) relatively inexperienced; we changed our plan to include National Museum of Art, and she was inexperienced with this museum, really a Tashkent specialist guide should know all major sights) Suggestions: We encountered a couple of minor glitches with hotel changes (in Khiva, 3 of our group of 5 had been relocated to be at the same hotel as SOJ and DOJ, but driver not informed, also hotel change in Bokhara from one listed in original itinerary to Amulet hotel, great hotel, but again driver not informed, and different from original itinerary: Suggestion: Itinerary should be reviewd in the week prior to the guests arrive and the Master Itinerary reissued with any changes. Suggestion: The National Art museum in Tashkent was superb, and should be included in your standard itinerary suggestion, at the end of the tour, it draws together all the themes seen during the trip. Suggestion: Water should be routinely supplied in the van all the time Suggestion: generally guides should be briefed to include planned toilet stops/ refreshment stops, several of our party experienced information overload. Tajikistan: great Guide Behzod and driver Umid, when we arrived, suggested our trekking plan was a bit ambitious, as snow had already fallen on a high pass, so itinerary was adapted in an excellent manner. Great trip.
Very professional, intelligent operator

Do exactly the same itinerary...the extra days in Samarkand and Bokhara ( 3 nights each) gave critical breathing space.
Nukus Savitsky museum, Registan, the Mausoleum of Timurs wives in Samarkand, in Tajikistan, our mountain trek from Artuch, lake Iskanderkul. Best meal: Italian restaurant in Tashkent Shasliks in Khojand
