We were very impressed with the efficient way in which the whole trip was conducted. Everything ran like clockwork and to schedule. All the guides we had were excellent and had a good command of English as well as knowing their subject matter. The drivers, too, were friendly and helpful. The accommodation ranged from functional to luxurious depending on the location.
The efficiency of transport, quality of guides and an interesting itinerary. The whole experience was exactly what we wanted. Nathalia suggested a tour of Minas Gerais and we're very pleased she did. It's a fascinating area not many foreign tourists visit.
All guides spoke good English and knew their subject matter. They were friendly, helpful and conveyed their love of and knowledge of Brazil with enthusiasm. In particular Harold in Tiradentes, Marcelo in Caraca and Marie-Lou in Rio. Dandara in Rio was excellent too. All drivers were punctual, friendly and helpful.
If you want to get off the beaten track then visit Minas Gerais. It's historic, almost tourist free and within easy reach of Rio.
Carnaval in Tiradentes and the food walking tour in Rio.
