We stayed in 5 different places and the hotels were always good and sometimes wonderful. Mariana had planned an itinerary that wasn’t too busy so we had plenty of leisure time and still had plenty to do. We had very good drivers and guides at all times. We were very impressed by the beauty and cleanliness of the country .
All very friendly and helpful
We particularly liked Xandari in Alejuela. The Parador in Manuel Antonio was great for the lovely views but the whole area there was beautiful . Very good chef there but sometimes very busy and service could be slow. Finca Maresia in Osa was very simple but set in such a lovely peaceful area , we loved it. Also we liked the friendliness of the communal meals. We stayed 3 nights each in Arenal and Monteverde. I think 2 nights each would have been sufficient as the weather can be dodgy but certainly worth seeing.
Too many choose but one lovely tour in Corcovado where we saw more animals than anywhere else
