My travel consultant was superb. As I had 1or2 health issues she made sure everything was geared to my comfort. From ensuring my accommodation was nearest the reception/restaurant to the concierge at my final hotel, who I had never met before and who greeted me with,"Welcome back,Mr Clarey, how is your heart and your health?". All the drivers and guides were friendly and efficient and all were early in collecting me. The reason I have only given 4 stars is because my health let me down occasionally. I take diuretics every day as well at least a litre of water, and as I was travelling 2-3 hours every 2 days,I didn't want to have to keep asking the driver to stop every half hour so I cut back on both. This meant that my shortness of breath increased and unfortunately I was not able to go on a couple of trips. However,as I had been wanting to go there for years, I was glad to have made the effort and enjoyed the variety of wildlife, beautiful scenery and friendly locals. The real downside was the travelling there and back via the USA. I found the experience so unpleasant that I will not go any where near the country again.
The superb organisation and the friendliness and efficiency of all the staff.
Nothing comes to mind.Faultless.
As above, they were all 1st class.
Speak to Maria Fernanda - the local agent, and don't be afraid to put your point and suggestion across. The dialogue will be worthwhile.
Probably hearing and seeing macaws for the first time. Then again, being reunited with my missing suitcase and all my medications thanks to Ms Irola's persistence comes close!
