We travelled to Bhutan from Kathmandu in March/April this year. We were met by our amazing guide, Sonam and our driver, also called Sonam! We had the best time, nothing was too much trouble and Sonam our guide was a joy to be with. He was so knowledgable, funny, kind and couldn't have been a better guide. Bhutan itself is a fantastic place to visit. The west could learn a huge amount about the lack of pollution, no pesticides, ban on plastic and care for their environment. We actually met the king too and he spoke to us. He seems a great man and no wonder the population seem to love him. The food of Bhutan is just amazing, every meal was massive, but full of fresh vegetables. The Bhutanese people are kind and very hospitable. The scenery to die for. A must for anyones bucket list. Thank you so much both Sonams and the whole team, as you all couldn't have been more efficient. We will definitely be back to travel with you again.
Everything! Both guide and driver, both called Sonam were brilliant.
Already said above, but both were brilliant and a joy to spend a week with.
Book a trip with more walking and maybe less Dzongs
Phobjikha Valley and the amazing hotel that we stayed in, Dewachen Hotel & Spa. The walk from the village down through the valley and over to this hotel was just stunning.
