Everything was so easy about this trip, from the booking, to being met at the airport, a super driver (Monther), awe-inspiring destinations, great food and great guides. The cooking experience at Petra Kitchen was great; a lovely atmosphere and a chance to be in community. We never felt exposed or unsafe (something people have asked us about) and Jordan is really very close in terms of travel time and easy to get about once there. Super hospitality and very friendly people. We would recommend Jordan, Travel Local and their local partners in Jordan, and am sure we will be back for a second visit in the future.
Everything, particularly listening to our needs and tweaking the itinerary accordingly.
Monther our driver was super; coped with bad weather conditions very well and his experience as a hotelier meant he could always recommend good places to eat! All of our guides were excellent but we particularly enjoyed being with Ahmed for our walk at Dana.
Petra Kitchen is a must and I would expect them to provide equally good accommodation when they open their hotel facility. Dream Camp was also excellent, as it is small and you felt very well looked after. The accommodation at Dana was good, but not quite warm enough for the weather (snow!), but they food was excellent - my husband says it was his favourite meal and the people there were super. I would tell people to make sure they pack warm clothes if travelling outside of the hotter months; having been in desert conditions before, we expected cold so were okay.
Wadi Rum (Dream Camp) and walking with Ahmed at the Dana nature reserve.
