6-day sojourn across Mongolia
Six days in Mongolia reveals a country of extraordinary contrasts where a thriving modern capital gives way to sweeping steppe and centuries of nomadic tradition.
Beginning in Ulaanbaatar, a guided city tour illuminates the cultural and historical forces that shaped this remarkable nation. Journeys beyond the capital bring encounters with nomadic families at the Mongol Nomadic Cultural Heritage Center, rare Przewalski's horses roaming freely in Hustai National Park, and the ruins of Karakorum, once the seat of the great Mongol Empire.

This is followed by a welcome lunch or dinner to celebrate your first day in Mongolia. In the evening, you can enjoy an optional hike through the hills.
Finally, you will be greeted by a representative who will assist you with your luggage before driving you to your hotel in the heart of Mongolia's capital.

Day 2: Nomadic culture & wild horses
This morning, you will participate in a two-hour nomadic showcase that gives you comprehensive knowledge about Mongolian nomadic culture. It includes many activities you can try yourself such as yak cart riding.
After lunch, travel to your next destination, Hustai National Park, where you check into the camp before watching a documentary, and visiting the park's information center.
In the evening, see the Takhi wild horses, also known as Przewalski horses, in their natural habitat. This is followed by dinner before retiring for the night.

Day 4: Experience the nomadic way of life
Today, we'll head to the Bayan Gobi Sand Dunes near the Khugnu Khan National Park. The landscape consists of large rock formations and cliffs shaped by erosion, which overlook vast semi-desert plains. The park is also home to huge sand dunes which contrast against the green grasslands on the border.
Upon arrival, we'll begin exploring by foot, visiting the Erdene Khamba temple in Khugnu Khan Mountain. Afterward, we'll visit a horse breeding family to have a close look at the daily life of nomads while getting to taste traditional dairy products.
For lunch, you'll get to take part in a cooking class, where you'll learn how to cook traditional Mongolian dishes, before enjoying a 2 hour sunset camel ride along the sand dunes this evening.

Karakorum - Ulaanbaatar
Day 5: One final Mongolian adventure
This morning, we'll begin the journey back to Ulaanbaatar, where after dropping off your luggage and freshening up, we'll begin a half-day city tour to explore what we've not yet seen.
We'll visit Bogd Khan’s Palace Museum and if you like, there's the option to visit Zaisan Memorial Hill for a panoramic evening view of the budding city of urban nomads.
In the evening, you'll get to experience a Mongolian folklore concert featuring Khoomei – the famous throat singing and contortion performance followed by farewell dinner. This small but fantastic ensemble performance includes the very best of Mongolian music and arts such as long songs, dances, Morin khuur performance as well as the Tsam masked dancing.
