Day 1: Welcome to Jordan!

Your adventure in Jordan begins today when you touch down at Queen Alia International Airport!

Upon arrival, you will be met by a tour representative who will assist you through the visa process and transfer you to your hotel in Ammam. Check in and rest in the comfort of your room. Tonight you will enjoy dinner and a cozy overnight stay in Ammam.

Amman - Jarash, Ajloun Nature Reserve - Amman

Day 2: Journey To Jarash & Hike To A Soap House

After breakfast at your hotel, set off on a journey to Jerash, also known as,  Gerasa. This wonderfully preserved Roman city is known as the "city of 1,000 pillars."

Unearthed 70 years ago, this treasure of ancient civilization has been painstakingly restored and serves as a magnificent reminder of the sophistication found througout the ancient lands of the Middle East.

Later, you'll embark on a hike through the Ajloun Nature Reserve. As you venture through forests of oak and pistachio trees, make your way along the Soap House Trail en route to a traditional village house where Orjan olive oil soap is produced by local women. 

After a long day, you'll head back to rest or enjoy dinner at your hotel. 

Amman - Desert Castles - Dead Sea

Day 3: Witness Desert Castles & Float In The Dead Sea!

On your agenda for today are the stunning 7th and 8th century Desert Castles of Jordan. Constructed under the rule of the caliph's of the Umayyad, Qasr Amra, Qasr Al Kharraneeh, and Qasr Al Azraq are exquisite examples of early Islamic architecture that reveal the fine craftsmanship of age-old artisans with their mosaics, frescoes, and stone carvings.

Your adventure continues with a visit to the Dead Sea. Situated 398 meters (1,206 feet) below sea level, this is the lowest spot on earth! Soak in these healing waters, float on the sea's buoyant surface, and be enriched by this warm, fertile region.

Day 4: Explore the Stunning Mujib Nature Reserve

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel this morning, followed by some free time on the Dead Sea. 

Later, you will be transfered to the Mujib Nature Reserve. This stunning setting, situated deep within the Wadi Mujib Gorge features extraordinary canyons and caverns with remarkable geological shapes, colors, and patterns.

Hike through this otherworldy setting -- one of the lowest altitute nature reserves in the world, then continue to the Dana Nature Reserve, where you will check into your hotel for the night.

Day 5: Venture Further Into Jordan's Magnificent Nature

After breakfast, you will be joined by a local guide who will lead you on a 2-3 hour hike through the Dana Nature Reserve.

Explore the dazzling landscapes of this mighty terrain, from wooded highlands to rocky slopes, sand dunes, and stone deserts. This vast reserve is home to a diverse array of natural settings. 

Next, you'll visit Shobak Castle, which consists of a castle surrounded by ten villages. Perched on the side of a mountain, this picturesque sight was built nearly nine centuries ago, during the time of the crusades, and was inhabited until the 1950s. 

In the evening you will arrive in Petra.

Day 6: Visit The Magnificent Sandstone City Of Petra

Today, you will visit the "Red-Rose" city of Petra, one of the most magnificent and mysterious cities in the world! 

Your journey begins on horseback, as you venture through the narrow gorge leading to that most iconic of sandstone facades, Al Khazna, otherwise known as the Treasury of Petra. Continue your exploration of this city built by Arab Nabateans as you venture along pink-hued streets past royal tombs, temples, churches, museums, and the Monastery.

Day 7: Contemplate A City From Antiquity

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your hotel this morning. Later, you'll spend some time exploring Petra on your own. 

Sometimes referred to as the "Lost City," Petra is an ancient place, which is thought to have been settled over 10,000 years ago. Once an important trading destination during the height of the Nabataean Kingdom, Petra eventually declined in importance over time and was only rediscovered by a Swiss traveler in 1812.

Spend some time soaking up the profound atmosphere of this singular place before continuing on to Wadi Rum where you will have dinner and spend the night in a Bedouin tent.

Day 8: Set Out On A Desert Adventure!

Start the morning with a delicious breakfast and then set out on an adventure through the stunning landscape of Wadi Rum!

You'll climb into an all-terrain 4WD jeeep for a journey across desert and mountain terrain. Explore fantastical rock formations, canyons, and sand dunees on this 3-hour excursion that will also include views of iconic sites such as the Seven Pillars of Wisdom, al Hsany Sand Dunes, the al Amaleh inscriptions, and SIq Um Tawaqi.

Later, tour Amman, the capital of Jordan. Witness the views from a high hill and visit the city's landmarks like the Citadel, the Roman Theater, and the Archeological and Folklore Museums. Don't forget to bring your camera!

Day 9: Farewell, Jordan!

What a sensational journey this has been!

Today, you will say goodbye to Jordan as you make your way to Queen Alia International Airport to catch your flight home or to continue your travels!
