Day 4: A day in Delphi

Enjoy a hearty breakfast in your hotel before heading out for your full-day tour of Delphi. Located at the foot of the Parnassus mountains, the Temple of Apollo and the Delphic oracle it housed were considered as the centre of the world. Between the 6th and 4th centuries B.C., the Oracle reached its peak and was known worldwide, offering advice to rulers and common folk alike in exchange for gifts.

Situated amidst beautiful scenery, Delphi represented many facets for the people of Greece, namely culture, unity, and religion. It was also the setting for the famous Pythian Games, which were held there annually for years.
