Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Egypt!
Arrive in Cairo where your driver will meet at the airport ready to transfer you to your hotel. You will have the rest of your day to enjoy at leisure.
Pyramids - Sleeper Train
Day 2: Visit the Great Pyramids of Giza
A full day awaits you as you discover the many gems of Cairo. Your private guide will meet you at your hotel and begin your tour at Giza Plateau where you will find one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the magnificent Great Pyramids and the Great Sphinx of Giza.
After exploring this ancient area you will have lunch at a local Egyptian restaurant before moving onto the Egyptian Museum where you can discover fascinating facts about Ancient Egypt. Continue your tour around Cairo stopping off at the Ben Ezra Synagogue, the Hanging Church and Cairo’s old bazaar amongst other places.
To finish your day you will be driven to Giza train station where you will board a sleeper train to Aswan where you will have dinner on board the train.
Aswan - Nile Cruise
Day 3: Embark on your Nile River cruise
Having arrived in Aswan after a peaceful night aboard your sleeper train you will be greeted at the train station by a guide who will escort you to your Nile River boat where you will be spending the next three nights.
Today you will sail along the iconic River Nile and see many fantastic sights such as the famous High Dam, the Philae temple, and the largest known ancient obelisk, the Unfinished Obelisk.
Kom Ombo - Edfo - Horus Temple
Day 4: Kom Ombo and Edfu Temples
Today you will visit Kom Ombo, a temple shared by two gods Sobek and Haeroris, before sailing to Edfu to visit the after lunch on board your boat. Once you arrive in Edfu, you will visit the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt, Horus Temple in Edfu. Following on from this you will enjoy an afternoon tea while sailing to Esna.
West Bank Of Luxor - Temple Of Queen Hatshepsut - El-deir El-bahari
Day 5: West Bank of Luxor
Today will be spent in Luxor. You will begin your day visiting the West Bank of Luxor, here you will visit the Royal Cemetery, the resting place of 62 Pharaohs, before moving on to the Valley of the Kings and Temple of Queen Hatshepsut amongst many more fascinating Ancient Egyptian sights.
Luxor Temples - Train Station
Day 6: East Bank of Luxor
Today you will be exploring the East Bank of Luxor famous for Karnak and Luxor Temple which you will have a tour around to get the most out of the experience.
Later you will say farewell to your Nile River boat and board a sleeper train back to Cairo.
Cairo Optional Excursions
Day 7: Returning to Cairo
Arriving in Giza train station you will be met by one of our representatives and taken to your hotel. From here you have the day at leisure or the opportunity to book some optional excursions such as a visit to the Step Pyramid of King Zoser in Sakkara and Memphis.
Cairo - Fly Back Home
Day 8: Goodbye Egypt
After breakfast you will meet your driver who will transfer you to Cairo International Airport where you will board your flight home.
