Day 1: Welcome to Cairo

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel to rest and recover from your journey. We recommend an early night to prepare for your incredible Egyptian journey.

Day 2: Exploring Egypt's ancient history

In the morning, begin your exploration of Cairo at the Grand Egyptian Museum. It is the largest museum dedicated to the ancient Egyptian civilization and will give you in-depth insights into the country's history.

Enjoy a lunch break at an Egyptian restauran before continuing the tour to the Giza Plateau to see the pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus. Additionally, you will see the Valley Temple that is associated with the Pyramid of Chephren. 

Of course, you can't visit Cairo without seeing the iconic Great Sphinx, featuring a pharaoh's head on a lion's body.

Return to the hotel in Cairo for the evening.

Day 3: Cruising the Nile

Take a morning flight from Cairo to Luxor and board your Nile cruise ship. On this cruise, you will visit famous sights such as Karnak Temple, the largest religious complex in ancient Egypt. In the evening, explore the beautifully illuminated Luxor Temple

Round off the day with leisure time aboard the cruise and a welcome dinner on board. Finally, overnight on the ship for a unique end to the evening.

Day 4: Sailing from Luxor to Esna

Today you will cross the Nile to reach the West Bank of Luxor. There, you will tour the royal cemetery of 62 Pharaos, the Valley of the Kings. including the tomb of Tutankhamun. Visit Hatshepsut's Mortuary Temple at Deir el-Bahari and stop at the Colossi of Memnon for photos.

Next, sail to Esna and pass through the Esna Lock that was built in the 19th century, a testament to Egyptian engineering and ingenuity.

Spend a second night onboard the ship.

Southward bound

Edfu - Kom Ombo - Aswan

Day 5: Southward bound

Sail to Edfu in the morning and visit the Temple of Horus, one of Egypt’s best-preserved temples. Continue cruising south with lunch onboard, enjoying scenic views of the Nile.

In the afternoon, explore Kom Ombo Temple, uniquely dedicated to both Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus.

Later, the cruise sets sail for Aswan. Relax onboard in the evening and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of the Nile. Spend another night onboard the cruise ship.

Day 6: Final cruise day in Aswan

Wake up in Aswan and visit the impressive High Dam, a feat of modern engineering. Continue to the ancient granite quarries to see the Unfinished Obelisk. Then, explore the beautiful Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis.

Finally, return to the cruise for your final dinner on the Nile and a last night on the water.

Aswan - Abu Simbel - Cairo

Day 7: Temple tour & return to Cairo

After breakfast, disembark from the cruise and drive to Abu Simbel (approx. 3.5 hours). Enjoy a guided tour of the magnificent Sun Temple of Ramses II and the Temple of Queen Nefertari.

Then, return to Aswan for your flight back to Cairo where you will spend the night.

Day 8: Exploring Memphis and Sakkara

After breakfast, journey to Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt’s Old Kingdom, believed to have been founded by Pharaoh Menes. Explore its fascinating open-air museum, home to statues and relics from Egypt’s early dynasties.

Continue to Sakkara, the vast ancient necropolis, to see the famous Step Pyramid of King Zoser, designed by architect Imhotep—the earliest large-scale stone structure in history.

Finally, return to Cairo and enjoy your evening at leisure.

Day 9: Culinary explorations

Today, visit the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization which features a rich collection of artifacts and the famous Royal Mummies Hall.

In the evening, enjoy a hands-on cooking class and dinner with an Egyptian family in their traditional home—a unique and personal cultural experience that will help you connect with the locals and gain insights into their daily lives.
