10 Day Fly Fishing in Patagonia

Welcome to Chile! Your driver will meet you at the Santiago Airport and take you to your hotel. 

Later, with your guide, you will discover the Chilean capital, a big, charming city nestled at the foot of the Andes. Although Santiago has become a modern and very active city, some neighborhoods have preserved their romantic charm and atmosphere.

You'll explore from the central Plaza de Armas to the colorful street of the Bellavista quarter, and you will pass by the Santa Lucía hill. During this half-day tour, you will learn about the turbulent and fascinating history of Chile.

Your driver will take you from your hotel in Santiago to the airport, where you'll catch your domestic flight from Santiago to Puerto Montt. Upon your arrival at Puerto Montt airport, transfer to Posada Puelo Lodge, located 150 km away.

You will take a boat to the Las Gualas sector to reach the Lodge on the other side of the shore. The Posada Puelo Lodge accommodates a maximum of 12 people and all outings are organized with a fishing guide for 2 people.

Why not enjoy a welcome cocktail and relax in the jacuzzi? You can have dinner at the restaurant and meet with the guide in charge of your excursion on the next day.

Afterward, depart to the river to fish. Have lunch at the Lodge's restaurant.

A new day of fishing awaits you. Fishing is done in the lower part of the Puelo River, which has an extension of 14 kilometers.

The species that you can find for sports fishing in this stretch of the river are mainly Chinook giant salmon, present between November and March. You can also find different types of trouts like rainbow trout, Brown, or Fario.

Today is the last day at the lodge. You will be transferred to Puerto Montt airport, where you'll catch your domestic flight from Puerto Montt to Balmaceda.

Transfer from the airport to Green Baker Lodge & Accommodations. Upon arrival in the afternoon at Green Baker Lodge you'll be greeted with a welcome drink.

The guide in charge will present the program, explaining all the details and answering any questions regarding the fishing. 

Today, enjoy fishing on the Baker River, traveling from one island to another.

Start your day with a delicious breakfast. Spend the morning fishing, before grabbing lunch at the Lodge or River. Return in the afternoon for more fishing.

In the evening, return to the Lodge and enjoy a cocktail. Afterward, have dinner.

A new day of fishing in the Carretera Austral region awaits you. Discover new spots along with your guide, depending on the weather conditions.

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge. Transfer to the airport where you'll catch your domestic flight back to Santiago. Your driver will welcome you at the Santiago airport and drive you to Valparaíso.

Another option is to transfer today to your hotel in Coyhaique.

You will be picked up at your hotel to discover the famous fish market of Valparaiso. Then you will go to Mauricio's house (an ex-chef) to learn the traditional Ceviche recipe.

Ceviche is a typical dish from Peru and Chile made with raw fish. Mauricio will also tell you more about Pisco and the history of this drink, symbolic to the region. After a Pisco tasting, enjoy your freshly prepared ceviche with your Pisco Sour. You'll eat on Mauricio's terrace overlooking the Valparaiso bay.

The morning is free for you to wander around Valparaíso.

At the appropriate time, an English speaking guide will accompany you during your transfer to the airport.
