Day 1: Welcome To Manaus!

Arrive at the airport of Manaus and transfer to your accommodation.

Manaus might be surprising to those expecting to see only dense Amazonian jungle.

The capital of the Amazon, its largest city and primary tourism hub, Manaus is a bustling urban center permeated with brightly colored residential homes, modern high-rise buildings and tour offices where you can book jungle lodges and river cruises.

It is located on the banks of the Rio Negro, just a few kilometers away from where it joins the Amazon River, a confluence known as the ‘Meeting of the Waters’, which is accessible by boat from Manaus. According to local lore, the two rivers run side by side for six kilometers without mixing and, in fact, it’s possible to feel the different temperatures of the two water sources by dipping your hand into the currents on either side of the vessel.

Day 2: Go On A 4-Day Cruise Along The Amazon River

Have breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the port to take the boat for your 4-day cruise along the Amazon River.

First, visit the meeting of the waters of the Negro and Solimões Rivers. Then, pay a short visit to a floating village with 30 families to get the idea of how people live on floating houses and then go to Janauari Park.

After lunch, go on an excursion in small canoes into the Igapó, annually flooded forest. Glide silently into the flooded forest and its countless overgrown tributaries. 

Watch as the guide attempts to catch one of the smaller reptiles with his bare hands and lifts it out of the water for you to see. Unharmed, the caiman will then be returned to the water. The thrill of catching a caiman, plus the mystical surroundings of the forest at night makes this quite a unique and exciting experience.

Day 3: Try Piranha Fishing and Enjoy the Sunset!

Depart to Jaraqui River early in the morning and have breakfast onboard. Go trekking in the rainforest with your guide and a local guide from the Jaraqui River.

During the trek the group will get information about the flora and fauna of the region, including medicinal plants. Have lunch onboard, and enjoy some time for swimming in the river.

In the afternoon try piranha fishing and take an exciting sunset tour. You will be left speechless by the astonishing view that will open up in front of your eyes!

Day 4: Embark On A Night Canoe Tour In The Amazon

Set out for a sunrise tour and birdwatching in canoes.

After breakfast, visit the Caboclo community in "Acajatuba Village" in the Archipelago of Anavilhanas, where 35 families live peacefully. They are descendants of the "Nwengatus" and "Tukanus".

In the afternoon, take motorized canoes to a place called Lake of Bim, and visit a caboclo home.

At night, depart in motorized canoes to observe nocturnal animals, with the possibility of spotting alligators, the site is the natural habitat of the famous "Alligator Acu (Melanosuchus niger).

Day 5: Bye Bye, Manaus!

Before having a breakfast, you will have the unique opportunity to go swimming with dolphins for a perfect ending to your Amazon adventure. You will certainly fall in love with these noble creatures!

Afterward, depart to Manaus for your outbound flight.
