Continuing south, you’ll explore the world’s largest salt flats on a four-day jeep expedition across the Salar de Uyuni and the breathtaking high-altitude landscapes of South Lipez. This volcanic region is dotted with multi-hued lakes, bizarre rock formations and spouting geysers. Heading north, you’ll get to know the exciting city of La Paz before journeying to Lake Titicaca to experience the serenity of its culturally rich islands. Sucre
Day 1: Arrive in Bolivia
Enjoy your flight to Sucre. Your driver will welcome you at the airport for transfer to your hotel in the city, where you have the option of an early check-in at your hotel.
The afternoon is free for you to settle in and relax after your journey.

Sucre
Day 2: Exploring the capital
After breakfast this morning, it's time to get to know Sucre. Set in the heart of a valley 2,700m above sea level, the city enjoys a pleasant climate and is a great for exploring on foot. Your guide today will take you on a tour of Sucre's sights, visiting historic buildings and strolling through leafy parks. The city is renowned for its gastronomy and relaxed way of life, and your guide will be happy to recommend places to eat and drink on your visit.

Candelaria
Day 3: Andean village excursion
After breakfast, you'll set off on a private excursion to the little village of Candelaria in the heart of Tarabuco country. This region is renowned for the intricacy of its fabrics, unique throughout the Andean region.
Later, share a traditional lunch with a local family, enjoying delicious produce grown in the community. In the afternoon, visit a small museum in the company of a local expert weaver, who will then offer a tour of their workshop. Return to Sucre in the late afternoon for a free evening in the city.

Potosi
Day 4: Journey to the highlands
This morning after breakfast, you'll set off on a three-hour journey from Sucre to the high plateau of Potosi, just over 4000m above sea level.
Check in at your hotel, then head out to discover the architectural wealth of the many historic buildings that have earned the city its place on the UNESCO World Heritage List. In the afternoon, visit either the Casa de la Moneda or the Santa Teresa Convent Museum.
The rest of the evening is free for you to explore further, or simply relax.

Potosi - Uyuni
Day 5: The mines of Potosi
After breakfast today, we delve into the fascinating mining history and culture of Potosi. Our first stop is the miners' market, where you can buy coca leaves and alcohol, both essential for making offerings before working in the mines. Then it's off to the slopes of Cerro Rico, where we'll meet staff sorting minerals above ground before taking a guided tour underground.
In the afternoon, travel to Uyuni, around a four-hour journey, with a stop to visit another mining town and museum. Check in to your hotel, then settle in for an evening at leisure.

Coquesa
Day 6: Traversing the salt flats
This morning after breakfast, begin your adventure across the world’s largest salt desert, the Salar de Uyuni. Marvel at the incredible high-altitude landscapes, with vast expanses of salt flats and ancient volcano peaks. Your driver and guide will show you the highlights and answer any questions. Stop along the way for visits and photos, along with lunch, before arriving at your new hotel in the village of Coquesa, at the foot of the Tunupa Volcano. Enjoy an incredible sunset over the salt flats, before settling down for dinner and a good night's rest.

San Pedro De Quemez
Day 7: A trip across the 'Salar'
After breakfast, take a stroll around the village and visit a local museum, before setting off right across the salt flats from north to south (around 80km). You'll then be leaving the 'Salar' (salt flats) and continuing on to visit the impressive Galaxy Cave, where you can admire the sculpted stalactites before we stop for lunch.
Later, you'll arrive in the small town of San Pedro. Check in at your hotel, relax and enjoy dinner.

Desierto De Siloli
Day 8: Route of Jewels
Today after breakfast, start your crossing of the South Lipez, an immense high-altitude region of vast desert areas, multi-coloured lagoons, rock formations and volcanoes. It's a breathtaking place with sight after amazing sight.
We'll stop for lunch, then take to the road again, climbing to an altitude of about 4,200m and then skirting the Chilean border following the famous Route of Jewels before entering the Siloli Desert. Check in at your hotel and enjoy dinner accompanied by some amazing desert views.

Uyuni - La Paz
Day 9: Surreal landscapes
Wake up to breakfast in the desert. A day rich in landscapes then awaits, as your journey continues south to the beautiful Laguna Colorada. This large lagoon is deep red and attracts flocks of pink flamingoes in season. Continue to the Sol de Mañana Geysers and the thermal baths of Polques. After a warming soak, the trip continues to the Dali Desert with its bizarre rock formations and several more lakes and volcanoes.
We'll continue the drive after lunch and, by the evening, you'll have arrived in Uyuni in time to catch a comfortable night bus to La Paz.

La Paz
Day 10: The heart of the city
Your driver will meet you at the bus station for transfer to your hotel, where you can enjoy breakfast and freshen up.
From there, you'll set off on foot on a guided tour of the exciting city of La Paz. Visit the intriguing Witches Market and stroll through the historic centre before stopping for lunch at the central market. In the afternoon, your guide will introduce you to the El Alto neighbourhood via a cable car that soars across the downtown streets.
The evening is free for you to discover one of the city's lively restaurants.

Copacabana - Yumani
Day 11: Islands of Lake Titicaca
After breakfast today, you'll journey via private car to Lake Titicaca. This is the largest navigable lake in the world (8560 km² shared between Peru and Bolivia). At an average altitude of 3800m and surrounded by snowy cordilleras, the lake is known for its islands full of tradition and history.
On arrival, you'll take a small boat to Moon Island, where a resident will show you around before sitting down to a communal village lunch. After bidding farewell to your hosts, hop aboard a boat bound for Sun Island, where you'll enjoy dinner and spend the night in the village of Yumani.

Copacabana - La Paz
Day 12: Sun Island Stories
After breakfast at your hotel, spend the morning exploring Sun Island, learning about its history and folklore. There are Inca and pre-Inca sites to admire all with fascinating stories to discover. After lunch, take a boat back to the mainland, where you'll return to La Paz by private car.
Check in to your accommodation and spend the evening at your leisure in the city.

Santa Cruz
Day 13: Homeward bound
After a final breakfast in Bolivia, your driver will meet you at the hotel and transfer you to the airport in good time for your domestic flight to Santa Cruz for your onward flight.
