Detailed Itinerary

Lisboa
Day 1: Arrival in Lisbon & Portuguese Cooking Lesson
Our driver will be waiting for you at the arrival hall of Lisbon’s Airport to take you on a private transfer to your hotel.
Relax for a while and then get ready for your first activity! You’ll be meeting a local Portuguese Chef from Lisbon at “Mercado da Ribeira” also known as TimeOut Market Lisboa, for a cooking lesson.
It has restaurants, bars, a high-end music venue; and also some of the city's best-known market vendors of meat, fish, fruit and flowers.
Your experience will start at the market, where the chef will guide you through Portugal’s traditional products, buying the ingredients you’ll need to cook lunch! Take this time with the Chef to ask any questions and learn all about Portuguese cuisine.
This is a fun and tasty experience that you will not forget. The class can be as hands-on as you want it to be. You will also get the printed recipes of these dishes.

Day 2: Delightful Lisbon Walking Tour & Fado Experience
On a ‘small group’ tour of Lisbon, you will meet the local people and walk through the streets - with its Portuguese tiles, the street art, the smell of bifanas, the view of the river and much more.
Another option is a private walking tour of Lisbon. The tour will start at Baixa District that was fully rebuilt after the 1755 earthquake. We’ll then take you to Alfama, one of Lisbon’s hills. Here, visit the Cathedral of Lisbon, a 12th century building. Continue up the hill towards St. George’s Castle. Enjoy the views! After this, the tour will continue towards Chiado, Lisbon’s commercial district.
Later, get ready for a Fado evening experience. Fado is an English version of the blues. Begin with a tour of the city, passing through some of the sites associated with this art.
The tour will end at a Fado Restaurant, where you can enjoy a delicious Portuguese dinner, while listening to live Fado.

Lisboa - Sintra
Day 3: History & Landscapes of Sintra & Estoril Coast
Full-day “small group” tour - Sintra & Estoril coast.
We will drive along the ‘Marginal’, a waterfront road. Discover Cascais and then continue to Cabo da Roca. Proceed to Sintra. Explore the Quinta da Regaleira before discovering the historic center.
After lunch, see the village center before heading to beautiful Pena Palace.
OR
Full-day private tour - Sintra & Estoril coast
Head straight to Sintra. Driving around the mountain you will pass by royal palaces and residences. Visit one of the palaces. After lunch, head to Cascais. Here, you'll find cosmopolitan life side by side with the Atlantic.
Return to Lisbon by the ‘Marginal’ road running parallel to beaches and fortresses starting in Estoril town.
In the evening, go on a sunset catamaran cruise with dinner. Navigate the Cascais’ coast and Old Town Lisbon while enjoying the sunset and tasty Portuguese food. Drinks are included!

Lisboa - Evora
Day 4: Onward to Splendid Alentejo
After checking out of the hotel, your rental car will be delivered and you’ll be ready to head towards the Alentejo Region, specifically to the city of Évora!
You can either go directly or take the day to visit some picturesque Portuguese towns. Evora’s roots go back to Roman times. Its unique quality stems from the whitewashed houses decorated with “azulejos” (tiles) and wrought-iron balconies dating from the 16th to the 18th century. See the splendor of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Upon arrival, you’ll have free time to explore the city at your own pace, have lunch in one of the many fantastic restaurants and take the rest of the day to relax at the hotel.

Evora
Day 5: Free Day in Alentejo
Today, you’ll have the day at leisure to explore Alentejo on your own. Enjoy the facilities of your hotel, go shopping or savor a meal in one of the restaurants in town.
We will share some suggestions for the activities you’ll be able to experience at the hotel.

Evora - Tavira
Day 6: Beautiful Countryside & Wine
After checking out of the hotel, you’ll be ready to head towards the Algarve Region! Stop en route at the Herdade dos Grous Wine Estate for a private visit of the grounds, a wine tasting experience, and a picnic lunch!
'Herdade dos Grous' is an exquisite country estate that offers unspoiled nature spread across more than 1700 acres. Splendid colorful gardens, 240 acres of an artificial lake, vineyards, and olive groves await our guests. You’ll be able to learn all about olive plantations, organic farming and the cultivation of top-class wines.
After visiting the grounds of the estate and local wine cellar, you will get a chance to taste the olive oil and wine produced here. Afterward, you’ll enjoy a fantastic traditional picnic lunch with this magnificent view as the background.

Day 7: Explore Amazing Algarve
Today you’ll have a free day to enjoy Algarve at your own pace.
We recommend a self-drive tour through the western side of Algarve, visiting the towns of Sagres, Lagos, Silves and Monchique.
The Fortaleza de Sagres is located at the southern tip of Sagres Peninsula and this uniquely designed fortress protected the town from raiders from North Africa.
The Cabo de São Vicente, is the most westerly tip of mainland Europe and is a wind-blasted headland, with huge cliffs that fall away to raging seas. The lighthouse of Sagres is the most luminous in Europe. It was built in 1846.
In Lagos, visit the Slave Market and the magnificent St. Anthony’s Church.
You can also discover the city of Silves, the ancient Arab capital of Algarve. See the Silves Castle, one of the most well-preserved Moorish castles, and the Silves Cathedral, one of the main Gothic monuments in Algarve.

Day 8: Experience Bliss on Secluded Ilha Deserta Island
Today, you’ll visit Ilha Deserta, also known as Barreta, the only uninhabited island of Ria Formosa. Here, we’ll provide you with a picnic lunch as well as a reserved shade and sun beds so you can enjoy this secluded paradise.
The mostly southerly point of the Portuguese mainland, the Deserta is one of the island-barriers of the Ria Formosa Natural Park forming a divide between the marshes and the sea. Accessible only via ferry service (available between June and September) from Faro that takes about 20 minutes, you can spend your time relaxing, bird watching or looking out for any of the various protected species.
With its huge sandy expanse and clear waters, the Ilha da Barreta Beach is a true paradise free of any development beyond beach support infrastructures, which include activities such as sailing, windsurfing or boat excursions.

Tavira - Comporta
Day 9: Enjoy the Sun, Sand & Sea in Comporta
After checking out of the hotel, you’ll be ready to head towards Comporta! You can either go directly or take the day to visit some picturesque Portuguese towns.
Located on the southern tip of the Tróia Peninsula, the huge sandy extent of Comporta Beach is a regular summer favorite, has good means of access and plenty of parking space. Forming part of the Sado Estuary Nature Reserve, Comporta Beach has been well preserved with the original dune vegetation surviving along with the adjoining pine forest. The sea is lively providing fine conditions for kite surfing, with competitions held here regularly.
Upon arrival, you’ll have free time to explore the area at your own pace, have lunch in one of the fantastic restaurants by the beach and take the rest of the day to relax at the hotel.

Comporta
Day 10: Horseback Riding & Dolphin Watching
You will enjoy a really special activity: horseback riding at the beach, riding the world famous Portuguese Lusitano Horses. Gallop along endless beaches, canter through different forests, trot along ancient trails and gaze at beautiful landscapes.

In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to enjoy the beach before going on a dolphin-watching boat tour in Arrábida - one of Portugal’s most beautiful coastal areas.
