
Kenya explorer: 10 days across the Mara
This safari includes a visit to the Masai Mara National Reserve, which plays host to the Big 5. You will have three full days to explore the Mara, where you will see most of the wildlife.
You will then proceed further on to the Rift valley to explore Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its variety of birdlife and wildlife alike.
Later, go on to the Amboseli National Park, which boasts views of the highest mountain in Africa, Mt. Kilimanjaro, and plenty of elephants.
Finally, go through both Tsavo West and East national park in three days.

Day 1: Welcome To Kenya!
Welcome to the Mara!
Departing Nairobi in the morning, you will go on a scenic journey south through the floor of the Great Rift Valley to the Masai Mara, to arrive in time for lunch. This will be followed later by an afternoon game drive in the park.

Day 2: Search For The Big Five
The full day will be spent exploring the park in search of the Big 5, among other game with extensive morning and afternoon game drives. The Masai Mara Game Reserve is arguably Kenya’s most popular and most visit game reserve in Kenya.
A spectacle worth seeing here is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle from Serengeti plains across the Tanzania border and the Mara River to reach Maasai Mara grazing fields from late June.
The dramatic crossing of the river and the preying on the migrants by predators can be viewed from early July to August.

Day 3: Be Stunned By The Wildlife Of The Mara
Today you can also explore the park in search of the Big 5, among other game with extensive morning and afternoon game drives.
The Masai Mara Game Reserve is arguably Kenya’s most popular and most visited game reserve in Kenya.
The film ‘Out of Africa’ was shot to a great extent in this reserve. Virtually every type of wildlife can be seen at the Mara.
The reserve abounds with bird life as well, so enjoy the sight of these natural wonders.

Day 4: Arrive At The Lake Nakuru Lodge
Soon after breakfast you will depart for Lake Nakuru National Park to arrive in time for lunch.
Next, go on an afternoon game drive.
In the park you will have a chance to visit a unique sanctuary catering for a sizeable number of the endangered rhinoceros and the Rothschild's giraffe.
Waterbucks, as well as the predators such as the lion and leopard are common at the park. Also to be seen are a myriad of different varieties of birdlife in and around the lake with approximately 400 bird species recorded.

Day 5: Be Awed By Mt Kilimanjaro
After breakfast, you will drive to the Amboseli National Reserve, set at the foot of the snowcapped Mt. Kilimanjaro. This is Africa’s highest peak.
You will arrive in time for lunch, followed later by an afternoon game drive.

Day 6: Find Lovely Elephants At Amboseli
Spend the day game viewing in the park with extensive morning and afternoon game drives. The Amboseli National Park is one of the most popular wildlife sanctuaries in Kenya, situated close to the Kenya- Tanzania border.
The park lies at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa (5,896m), whose snow-capped summit offers a splendid view on clear days.
The Amboseli National Park is often referred to as the 'home of Elephants.' Some of the largest elephant herds are found here.

Tsavo West National Park - Ngulia Safari Lodge
Day 7: Visit The Stunning Mzima Springs
Embark on an early morning game drive.
After breakfast, leave for Tsavo West National Park.
Visit the Mzima Springs, which are favorite haunts of both the hippo and crocodile that can be seen from an underwater observation chamber if time permits.
Proceed to the lodge/campsite for lunch.
Later on, enjoy an evening game drive.
Tsavo West covers a wide variety of landscapes, from swamps and natural springs to rocky peaks, extinct volcanic cones, and rolling plains. The dramatic Chyulu Hills is a collection of ancient volcanic cinder cones with splendid views of Mt.Kilimanjaro and large populations of elands, Grant’s & Thompsons’ gazelles, warthog, lions, buffalo, elephants, and the rhino. Birdlife is also abundant here.

Day 8: Marvel At The Gorgeous Lugard's Falls
Drive to Tsavo East after breakfast, viewing game as you leave the park.
The Tsavo East National Park was famed for its large herds of elephant covered in red dust and fine scenery.
Visit the scenic Lugard's Falls, Mudanda Rocks, attracting elephants in the drier season, and Aruba Dam.
After lunch at your accommodation and some rest, embark on an evening game drive.

Day 9: Explore The Wildlife Of Kenya
Spent the whole day exploring the park with extensive morning and afternoon game drives.
The landscape at Tsavo East is flatter and drier despite having one of Kenya’s largest rivers flowing through the middle.
Much of the wildlife is concentrated in the Galana River, which has plentiful crocodiles and hippos. The common game include elands, kudus, waterbucks and dik-diks, impala, elephants, lion, jackal, mongoose, zebras, hyenas, African hunting dogs, gazelle, buffalo, velvet monkeys, bat-eared fox, and the aardwolf.

Day 10: Farewell, Nairobi!
Start your day off with an early morning game drive.
After breakfast, check out from the park and then drive to Nairobi to reach the city late in the afternoon. You will be dropped off at your hotel.
